The room was comfortable, spacious and clean. Only downside was the pancake-like flat pillows! The room decor was quite dated, but we thought it was charming. Located just a couple of streets away from the U Station (Underground Train), which was very handy for getting around. We only stayed one night as the purpose for visiting Nuremberg was a comic con 15 mins taxi ride away. We were able to use the free luggage room to store our bags while we went to the comic con at Stadthalle Furth. This was very helpful, as we didn't want to carry our bags around when meeting guests! On the second day, we took the train (walked to the U Station) to the Old Town - it's a must-see. Overall, the Azimut Hotel was great for what we needed.
Although the hotel and room were comfy, etc, we had a few bad experiences with one staff member (we came across three). She was very rude, unhelpful and not interested. She was an old, blonde woman. She snapped at us when we asked where a road was, saying ‘I don’t know! I’ve never heard of it!’. Wow. Great service! The younger, brunette lady and man were friendly. The man gave us a very good recommendation for a restaurant. It was an Italian place called La Nuova Osteria. We hoped to go to a German Restaurant, but were so hungry after flying out very early that morning and then being at the comic con all day. We went to La Nuova Osteria at about 9pm, and it was bustling! We would stay at the Azimut Hotel again.
