Not bad by European standards, very small by North American standards. I am not that big but had to be angle just right to get in and out of the shower. Very good soundproofing to the street and staff very friendly. Overall it is a little dated but did the trick for a brief stay. Note, no in-room safe available and you leave the room key with the front desk when you go out. On the plus side, the bed was way more comfortable than I expected.

Perfectly adequate for a 2 star...
Well located between Gard du Nord station and the river Seine, everywhere in the 2nd and 3rd arr. was accessible within a 25 min walk with plenty of metro options. The room was small and what you would expect for a 2 star establishment but it was clean and had access to a terrace which was nice to step out to. The fixtures and fitting were clearly old and tired, but functioned fine.

Would not stay again
The only positive I have for this hotel is it’s location. Great location! Walkable to small shops, restaurants, and metro. Please be aware that there is no air conditioning!!! If it’s going to be there when it’s hot, please look at other accommodations, no fans, no airflow. The room itself was tiny, old, I felt like at anytime the closest was going to come crashing down, the paint was peeling off the walls, the elevator was busted for part of our stay. They also made us turn in our key every time we left and we could pick it up when we got back, I just thought it was kind of strange.

The location of the property was good with metro stop and canal nearby. Our triple room was much smaller than anticipated with outdated furniture. The bathroom and shower was also very small. Friendly and helpful front desk!

This property was gross and not like the pictures. There was mold all over the walls. Not clean. The shower didn’t drain.

Was okay. Hotel employees did not speak english very well so it was difficult to communicate but they were still very friendly. Good location. Not very clean. Even though the cleaning lady comes every day it is not very clean and room smells awkward.

Such a terrible hotel. Tiny room with 2 beds. You can no longer breath. Very old and dirty. Ewww. We paid 4 nights and had to leave after our first night.

Small pillows but quiet room
Small pillows, about half American standard sized. Room was quiet. Location not bad but have to walk awhile to get to the train station or metro. Shower had a very large step to get into the shower, at least 40cm high. Leaving keys at desk when you leave but staff remember you so they know where you are staying. Next door to a boulangerie for a quick breakfast. Elevator in good working condition but very small, barely big enough for two thin people and two medium sized bags to fit it.

Cheap in price. Close enough to walk everywhere. Not fancy at all, but rather well worn and although it was a nonsmoking room, everything smelled of old smoke. Small beds with little personal space, so if you’re sharing the room, be prepared

The good first.. the hotel is about a 5-min walk from 2 train lines, has a boulangerie/pattiserrie across the street and cafes & bistros are walking distance. The bad... the hotel is dirty, it’s old but old places can be clean. i normally don’t fuzz about dirt, and i was only staying for less than 24 hours, but the room smelled old, and like it wasn’t clean. During my stay the elevator wasn’t working and my room was on the 5th floor. Haways didn’t have a light so i felt unsafe. Upon inspecting the bed, i found a bed bug on the spare bed and bug crawling on the ceiling. I barely slept thinking about the bugs that could be hiding.

If you want a clean room at a great location for a great price this is it. The room was small for a place to crash. The wifi would not work in the roo., but the receptionist let us sit in the lobby to use internet. We only stayed 2 nights, but the price is right for short trips.

Great location, close to restaurants and locals having fun! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately no air conditioning, only a little fan, so had to sleep with windows open which made for extremely noisy, interrupted sleep every night! Room was extremely small with no kettle or fridge, which would’ve have been ok for one night. The room decor was fine, but the bathroom was very grotty with peeling paint and mold on the ceiling. We still had a fabulous time in Paris though!

It was A heat wave and there is no AC. Staff was very nice. We struggled a bit to communicate in English. Small rooms but good price. Loud neighborhood. Burger place le petit michel is just down street and is good

bonjour,nous sommes désoler mais les hotels 2 étoiles n'ont pas la climatisation mais il y a des ventilateurs à disposition.désoler mais il y a eu la canicule donc la chaleur était très grandes.merci pour le personnel

The location is very good, close to local restaurants and a small bakery right across! Our window was facing the street and we could see the bakery. There was an option to have breakfast in the hotel but we preferred to go out or just bring the freshly baked croissants into the room. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. There is someone at the front desk 24 hours.

lovely staff and lovely surounding
the room and the bathroom is old and just another place to stay . nothing special for the those. but what i love most is the people who works there. the front office, the house keeping , everyone. they do not speak a very good english but i cam understand them, but how they act when you need help and how they willing to assist you is super top! and rhe way they do their job, even 5 stars hotels staff could not beat them. the surounding is great! restaurants, all kinda food is available with a local pricing! love them so much for these! and most of all the subway station is just 5 minutes away on both end of the road! this is not a fancy hotel, even i think it is too much for the price. but i dont care, since the people and the surounding is super cool! fully recommended to people who wanna stay a cheap and decent place in paris with a great surounding!

We ended up leaving the hotel. Once we checked in, we were told we were on the 6th floor. The elevator only goes to the 5th. The room looked like it haven't been cleaned, crumbs under the bed, bathroom was aged. Once we removed the covers to check the sheets, we found hairs on two of the beds. The outlet / plug was broken - didn't stay in the wall. Overall not a clean place to stay.

Poorly managed hotel with hardly any amenities. Worst hotel I have stayed so far in Paris. Service was bad break fast was bad, bathroom lights stopped working in the evening. I booked another room for my colleague and they informed me on the day od check in that its been cancelled. Thanks to hotels.com we still got the room. Hotels.com should remove such hotels which are charging so high for no good service.

Uncomfortable bed as well as bed stains, the bathroom was very small, but most importantly the room itself was incredibly small. Bu the worst thing that happened to us, was that in the morning, we got knocked on the door telling us that there won't be water for 30 minutes due to repairs. But the promised 30 minutes ended up being 2.5 hrs. We wasted a whole day because we couldn't shower. The staff wasn't very friendly and the cleaning lady kept wanting us to leave the room because she had to clean.

Very close to the metro and food areas.
Small room with a very loud toilet but room was warm and water was hot (stayed in December). Front desk was very nice. Very small room but very clean with daily room cleanup and bed fixing. Balcony room, perfect for photos. reserved a 2 persons room, with a double bed. 4th floor.

Great clean hotel. Nice staff. 5 mins to the metro (republique). Thin walls u can hear anything. Just avoid having the room right next to the lift. Overalls the guests are calm so it was a minor issue. But it is recommended

Room reserved was not as pictured when I got there
Was given a very small room with a double bed against one side of the wall... an interior room with a view of a breathing air court ...with disheveled paint on the exterior walls. The bathroom had a very small shower stall with plastic curtain. When I complained to the reception the night receptionist told me to speak to reception in the morning...when I did speak to the morning reception was told the room I saw and reserved...was a cheaper one ...not the ones on the front side...but on Expedia..it did not distinguish the two kinds so as for me to take the room pictured on the reservation...They were full on that weekend so I stayed put in the substandard room.
