"I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel. It’s clearly just been renovated and is in excellent condition. Whilst in the centre the walk from the hotel to the main centre ( 10 minutes ) is through an ‘interesting’ area , not unsafe but definitely didn’t feel comfortable. The room I had was a duplex which I wasn’t aware of when I booked with the toilet downstairs which was strange as was in the hotel basement . There was an emergency exit door which is fine but they should state clearly...

"We wanted a hotel near motorway as an easy overnight stop. Unfortunately access to hotel from motorway was more complicated than it looked. Rooms OK, although one door could not be operated by keycard and the aircon could only be operated on/off by switch in fusebox. Dinner no more than OK, breakfast paltry. Generally average service in restaurant. On checkout, hotel's card payment system not functioning so we had to make a separate transfer later"
