"This was a lovely old stone cottage connected to others on a fairly steep, narrow road. We had some difficulty finding it, but a lovely employee at the Fore 2 Restaurant guided us. Your gps might lead you astray. You really need to unload your gear and then park in the town pkg lot. We could walk everywhere & take the bus to other locations. "The cottage was comfortable and clean. The weather was cold and wet when we were there and so we were not able to enjoy the garden but the rhododendron blooms were pretty. It was a good place for a base to visit southern Cornwall - Land's End, Lizard Point, Michael's Mount were some of the places we visited."

"Lovely cosy little place with a lovely feel and had everything we needed. Bed and sofa were very comfy, bunk beds were a bit tight for an adult and the only bathroom is off of the main bedroom so more suited to a family than three adults. Very easy to find and parking was fine even in our truck (reverse in). It was a good base but walking from there was a bit limited due to having to cross A roads. "

The Pirate Inn was also no longer serving meals but the chef very kindly made us fish and chips which we were very grateful for so top marks to him . All the staff were great and although room basic it was clean and comfortable . We were catching ferry to Isles of Scilly following day and it was ideal as parking for ferry is 5 mins away "
