Neya Porto is a new hotel (2022?), right on the Duoro River. The facility is a short walk into Porto and quiet by being not directly in town. The rooms are comfortable and the window opens onto the river view. The rooftop bar has excellent service, drinks and snacks, a really nice way to finish off a day of exploring Porto. Staff are friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Porto.

Friendly and helpful staff, lovely rooms overlooking the river. Only drawback was lack of parking, compounded by confusion on where to park - we ended up in public car park -which cost us 21 Euros for overnight stay. Vehicle access to front of hotel to offload bags also tricky - would have appreciated more detailed instructions prior to arrival.

The hotel was conveniently located along the bank of the Douro river, within walkable distance of the old town, with its bars and restaurants, and easy access to the tram, city bus/tuk tuk tours, and, river boat cruises. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and attentive, and were especially kind and helpful when my sister in law, fell and fractured her wrist, taking care of her and arranging an ambulance etc. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had tea and coffee making facilities. There was a great choice of hot and cold options for breakfast, everything was well laid out. The rooftop terrace was great for food and drink whilst enjoying views across the river. We would certainly recommend this hotel to others, and would not hesitate to return if we are ever back in Porto.

Great hotel overall. Rooms are great. Busy and noisy road, but amazing views of the river and valley. Only complaint, they didn’t tell me parking was not available at the hotel. Had to pay for private parking about a kilometer away.

Very clean great beds and pillows. We got a nice upgrade in a room with river view. The breakfast was very good and the servers were very attentive. You can park on the street if you find a spot, otherwise the parking is 10 minutes away from the hotel. The hotel is 15 minutes away from the city center which keeps you away from the business of the crowds. Great experience!

What a great place - our group of 6 friends loved it! A modern, stylish and well-designed hotel right on the River Douro with fantastic amenities; a delightful rooftop bar with views over the river and city; a picturesque internal courtyard formed in part by the walls of an old monastery and church, ideal for indulging in a few of your own drinks with friends before dinner; huge and varied buffet breakfast you can’t help but overindulge in; spacious comfortable rooms. There are lots of other amenities such as a gym, bicycle hire and spa treatments we didn’t use, but I expect they’re as well-run and high quality as everything else here. Everywhere is easily in walking distance and you can see the lovely vintage trams going past the very front of the hotel and from the dining/breakfast room. The staff could not have been more welcoming, charming and helpful - they helped us with taxis, buses, restaurant bookings and lots of advice. The hotel feels like really excellent value for money - we couldn’t believe our luck at finding such a well-appointed and distinctive hotel for the money we paid. Thank you Neya for a truly enjoyable and memorable stay.

We were 8 friends staying here for the weekend to explore Porto. We loved this hotel! It had everything we could want and was situated in a great position. Our rooms were clean, modern and very comfortable with great river views and we wanted for nothing. We loved the rooftop terrace and bar too. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. We would throughly recommend a stay here.

The location of the hotel was perfect. It is just sitting by the river, close to major must-see places, within walking distance, but not too close, and so it is very quiet. I really enjoyed watching the river from my room at night and in the morning. The room is very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was very good. Staffs were friendly and helpful. So I am very satisfied with my stay at this hotel and will come back.

Terrible experience with a staff member. His name is Hugo. He was incompetent. He does not know what he is doing. When we checked out, he charged us 20 E for parking and according to Expedia we were supposed to pay only 18. When we told him, he did not know how to make changes in the invoice. He also gave the invoice of another customer. When I asked to speak to another staff member, he stated that he was the only one available. Because we were in a rush to leave, we left the hotel with no invoice. We asked him to email it, but we have not received it.

Great view and amazing staff!
The view from the hotel is fantastic, and the staff at the hotel was amazing! While in Porto, my mother-in-law slipped on one of the bridges and broke her ankle. We spent about 5 hours at the hospital and everything was closed when we finally got back to the hotel. The staff reopened the kitchen for us so we could get something to eat and even assisted me in carrying the food for my family to our rooms since my mother-in-law couldn't walk. They really went above and beyond to help their guests.

We arrived at the hotel at 14.20 ; our room was not ready although check in time was at 14.00 The receptionist said it would take a few minutes . He said if we did not want to wait , we could have a better room which was available but that we had to pay for it. We said we would wait. At the end, we had to wait at the lobby for 45 minutes. The floor in the room was dirty; we were two days with no soup in the shower as the housekeeper did not fill the dispenser, and we almost run out of toilet paper for the same reason. Tea and coffee facilities in the room were kept to the minimum, and no topped up when finished.

Great big rooms with fantastic river views
Nice large room, fantastically located along the river with great views. It's got a lovely rooftop bar (although music was very loud) also with amazing skyline views. Breakfast also had a good selection of hot food and continental offerings. It's also located in a building that used to be a monastery and is connected to an old church - historic with good architecture.

Good location - walking distance to all places of interest and bus/tram stops nearby. Fantastic views of the river from the rooms and roof top bar.

Food preparation and quality in top floor bar and room service very disappointing. Imagine receiving burnt toast. They replaced the burnt toast only after we complained. Club sandwich in room service was very salty.
