Staff were nice & breakfast was excellent. However, our room was far from acceptable for the top price we paid, or for any price really:
I can't think any excuse for peeling chipboard furniture that looks like it's out of a 1970s caravan; or for a hole in the bathroom wall stuffed with tissue, and a hole in the main door where it's repeatedly hit the dresser.
The TV was screwed onto a piece of hardboard fixed to the wall, and the hanging extension lead for electrics was not something i've ever seen in a hotel anywhere - not sure if that's even legal in a hotel.
The view could also do with addressing - maybe tidy up the rubbish and hanging cables on the roofs, and one of the windows had a broken handle.
The 2 bedrooms we had looked clean enough, but on the last morning when we were moving beds to make sure we'd got everything, we discovered loads of dust, and a previous occupants chocolates and wrappers behind the beds!
The bathroom was spotless, but there was no bath, just a lame electric shower, and nowhere to put anything other than a narrow windowsill.
