They are in the middle of renovations. There was a weird smell all through the 3rd floor hallway that smelled a bit like cooking sausages. There is a Denny's as part of the hotel. The smell was really strong in my room and I found it hard to sleep as it made my allergies go crazy. They have put the air conditioning/heating unit on the floor and there is a desk almost right up to it so you have to get down on the floor squeezed between the desk and the wall to see the controls. The updated room I was in was beautiful and the bed was great. These are just weird quirks with the room I was in.

Explanation of my scoring This hotel is undergoing major renovations in all areas. I’ve stayed here a few times during the reno’s including in the upgraded rooms. The staff have done a great job trying to make everyone’s stay as good as they can. The contractors are very courteous and respectful to the guests and understand the importance of the guests to the hotel. There is no gain without a little pain and the new accommodations will be well worth the wait as I have experienced. Despite the construction I will continue to stay as all amenities are functional including pool, hot tub, restaurant, and lobby coffee bar, and a quiet room

We were given a renovated room which was nice but the water pressure in the shower was very low. The room was also pretty tight for 2 adults.
