We enjoyed our stay at Giglio dell’ Opera! It’s not fancy but since we spend most of our time outside walking around Rome, the accommodations were perfect! Clean, comfortable, safe, and very close to good restaurants, the sites, and the train station!

The room was dirty. The bathroom was covered in mold. when we mentioned it to the staff their solution was to cancel the reservation and we wouldn't have a place to sleep. I do not recommend this hotel. It is not clean. The AC did not work in our room in the middle of the summer in Rome

I do not recommend this hotel. The room smells very bad from the air conditioning. She has never had service there, this air conditioning and it smells of fungus.There is not even a kettle to make coffee or tea in the room.There is also no fridge to keep your drinks cold.And the bar has nothing really no choice you have to get out of the hotel to get something to drink or eat something. Really terrible this hotel 👎👎👎👎

This hotel is in terrible condition. I have pictures that i would like to attach to this review. The stuff are very rude, dirty room stained carpet, mold walls and very disgusting shower . Air conditioner, wifi, hot hot water neither works.

Do not be fooled by the photos. The room theybwill give you is not the one you are shown. When i went to complain to the management, he yold me too bad. I asked if others have complained that the room was not the same as shown, he said "yes people complain but too bad"

The property is very central and ideal if you’re stopping in Roma for a night or two with only being a 15 minute walk to the main landmarks

My family has stayed at this hotel at least 20 times in the past 10 years and we have enjoyed the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. However, in room 404, the bathroom walls, sink and shower were completely full of mold. This room should not be rented until the mold is completely removed. We should have complained to management to get a different room, but we were tired and we didn't complain.

I have to say this is my first negative review in any hotel I ever stayed, but I have to share my experience. This was the most horrible place to stay in all my entire life! First, pictures are not the same as in real life. EVERYTHING in the hotel was dirty, from the lobby to the room. even the towels, the bed sheets, carpet and curtains were stained. Dust and spider web every where, and the air ducts in the room had dust. The bathroom had mold every where. There is not clean air to breath in that room, and its smelled like it was never cleaned in decades. Everything inside, including the curtains, carpet, chandelier, and the decorative paint, was extremely old to the point the carpet lost its color, and stink with an old odor, which was very hard to ignore, and it was bothering us all the time we stayed. We brought our concern to change rooms, but with not success. Be aware that you will experience all this if you decide to stay in that hotel, even more in a season where you can not go to another hotel, because they are all booked due to high season.

The minuses outweigh the pluses
We stayed here only one night, because our flight had been cancelled. The staff was excellent and friendly. The room seemed to be decorated with garage sale furniture. All the towels were from other hotels. The mattress under the sheets looked like a crime scene. The breakfast consisted of either bread with jam or two slices of cheese and two slices of ham. Nice pastries though

My parents and i stayed at the hotel for 3 days. When we got there, I guess is the manager he never even saiy hi. The sink was clogged. After they fixed it stinks. The housekeeper and the person working serving the breakfast are awesome, no complaints about them. Other than that is a nice area, very central, secure....

The location of this property was fantastic and the price was amazing. That being said, it is dated and the cleanliness was not the greatest … but then again … who sits in their room whilst in Rome? If you want to do that, spend the going rate of $500 if that’s your thing!

Run down hotel in great need of renovation, massively overpriced, only positive is the location, central and close to train station, otherwise, beds were uncomfortable, air conditioning nearly worked, wifi is very weak and does not work in rooms, small bathroom, very dirty shower curtain, old plumbing, old furniture, unfriendly staff, breakfast is a joke (so we went to eat breakfast outside), clunky old room keys, sketchy storage room (not sure safe), well, clearly taking advantage of High season In central Rome. I do not recommend and I rarely post reviews, but paid $275 for a room for 3, a rip off, in this case better to book a well established chain with proper standards

The property is a little older and the beds were a bit creaky and could use a replacement, but the staff was incredible and the location can’t be beat. We were three blocks from Termini station which is a short express train ride from the airport and connects to the metro for going to the Vatican, etc. The Colosseum was within walking distance as was Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. Plenty to see, eat, and shop right by the property. The room was large and fit our family of five easily. From check in to breakfast every morning and checkout when the clerk watched our bags while we went across the street to eat lunch before getting on the train, we were well taken care of.

The hotel was in a great location walking distance to most of the main touris sights which was great. The room we had was advertised as a queen bed although it was two small singles pushed together. The condition of the room and bathroom was very poor the carpet was worn, the bath and toilet had chips that had been filled in. All that said the continental breakfast was good and the male staff member looking after it was very good everything was cleared quickly and all food never ran low.

Good Hotel, Great Location.
This hotel was a lifesaver. Our other booking canceled our stay because our flight was delayed and we were unable to check in on time. We booked with Giglio dell’Opera on the app and they were perfectly accommodating. The room was standard size for Europe but had everything you need. The bed was a bit firm, but not bad. The breakfast served in the morning was great and you cannot beat the location — only 5 minutes to the main train station and metro. Also, the area around the hotel was full of great restaurants so food was never an issue! Overall, great stay.

Friendly hotel stay in Rome
The hotel was perfectly placed for arrival at the main railway station. It took 3 minutes to walk there. The hotel was clean and the reception staff and room staff were very friendly and helpful. Although I hadn't booked a twin room for myself and my daughter the man on reception changed it to suit us better at his suggestion, which was great. It was however quite a walk to the main attractions in Rome but we enjoyed the sights en route.

It was ok. Nicely decorated, but on closer inspection it seems our room could have used some work. Tons of scuffs and weird stains on the wall and peeling paint in the bathroom. Something was leaking, so that in the morning, there was a huge puddle on the bathroom floor. The elevator was incredibly small (fire code limit was 4 people) so we resorted to taking our luggage down the stairs on our own to avoid lining up. And the breakfast buffet wasn't the most appetizing; we actually skipped it in the end. We may have been overly judgemental because we were at the end of our trip and a bit tired, but overall we weren't too thrilled.

Great location -- near Termini Train Station and therefore able to arrive anywhere using the busses, trains or subway system quickly! The hotel is very moderate in terms of provisions, but the price and location are worth it. Walkable to Coloseum and other sites.

Central to all sights
My second stay at this hotel, staff are brilliant, very friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much for them. Rooms are ok, meet my needs, but as a guy, I only need a bed and on that basis my than meet my expectations. All attraction sites are within walking distance, with the Vatican being the furthest and only 30 min walk, ex-military so maybe a march rather than a walk, but all very do-able 👍👍👍👍👍
