The hotel was unexpectedly closed. Which was not communicated to us at all-when found out from a note pasted on the door telling us our reservation was transferred to a different hotel. Would’ve been nice to know before dragging our luggage in the opposite direction, but this place failed to communicate anything. Other hotel (Torino) was meh/ok

Viminale is a classic hotel with history. It has been updated but still has character. The room was very clean, the bathroom sparkled. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast spread and room were excellent. It is well located within easy walking distance to transportation, the Piazza Republica and the train terminal. I highly recommend it if you are looking beyond the cookie cutter chain hotels.

This place was incredibly disappointing. Whoever claimed this as a 4-star hotel is on something. I'd give it 2.5 stars. Maybe. The cleaning is absolutely bare minimum. Within 5 minutes of checking in I found a bug and a long hair in the bed. Don't think they changed my sheets at all during my 5 night stay. They never gave me more toilet paper or toiletries for the shower. Oh, and the shower! Worst plumbing drainage I have ever seen. You can't take a 5 minute shower without the water overflowing from the shower all over the bathroom floor. They also don't allow guests in your room, which is not communicated beforehand. I tried to have a friend over and was stopped by the desk agent and told they could not come inside. Overall, I just did not feel comfortable here considering I was sold a 4-star experience.

A delightful stay. The room I selected was  a bit small but big enough for me -it was meant for one person. It had a nice LCD television with usb port, which i used to charge my power pack since i did not bring a converter. The bathroom had a bide and the shower had great water flow. Breakfast was ordinary but had the essentials to a start the day and keep you full into the late afternoon hours. The staff were pleasant yet reserved and accommodating . The location is five minutes walking to the termini metro hub and in close proximity to several restaurants and shops. I would totally recommend this place to anyone that is traveling on a budget.

This is a older hotel but with plenty of charm. I was upgrated from a twin bed room to a king! It must have been there were rooms available. Pleasant surprise. The location of the Hotel is very convenient for all forms of transportation. The staff was very helpful!

Mold growing in showers, outdated, dusty and not as pictured at all. I also ended up with mysterious bug bites on my legs... couldn’t say for sure they were bed bugs but out of fear treated all of my belongings as if they were

This property is full of character. Prime, quiet location. Great roof terrace. Every major site is in walking distance. To top it off they serve the best breakfast with delicious pastries. Will stay there again in the future.

The hotel is in a great location for most of the sights and only a 10 minute walk from the main station. Good breakfast included in price and complimentary small bottle of prosecco.

could not believe that we couldn't make any calls from the hotel - not even locally in Rome! Had a cell phone stolen and needed to make calls to cancel service, police for insurance purposes, etc. and could not. In addition, staff could not tell us where to buy a calling card. Bus tour pamphlets said only hotels could access them by phone but our hotel could not for some unknown reason. Did not like having to hand in our old fashioned key every time we left. in order to lock our door, we had to lock ourselves in which was a fire hazard. lastly 2 single beds pushed together does not make a double bed!!! we kept falling through the crack!

Loosening of bathroom metal hook, handrail,etc. Even I report, nobody takes care. Bathtub drainage is poor. WiFi service is deadly slow. Front desk just told us too many peoples occupied without intention to help. Daily routines is doubtful. All our used cups remain in the same position without cleaning or changing. Overall comment is ........ miserable.

Comfortable stay in peaceful street
Comfortable stay in a peaceful street nearby center. Breakfast served in a sunny yard. Good selection of food, besides not so good juices. WiFi almost not wirking, neither I'm rooms or at reception. Clean rooms and thoughtful service. For that low price you get what you really need to feel comfortable.

*brilliant location, central to all the tourist spots. (Colloseum, Trevi Fountain etc) *short walk to the train/bus station *rooms cleaned daily *good continental breakfast with a variety of choices... toast not available which would have been nice. *lovely roof top terrace *excellent value

I usually follow my gut and never book a hotel with less than a 4.0 rating, but I was tired and needed a room in this area. My gut was correct, and so are all of the poor reviews. So that really nice AC in the lobby for the staff... don’t be fooled, they control it to 28° in the room that you paid for. It will NOT get cool in the rooms even at max, even at the low setting. They control it, and it’s at 28°. Do NOT book here in the summer, you will be sweating all night. It’s terribly hot in the rooms. If you read other reviews this seems consistent throughout the years. Next, the beds are horrific; the lowest budget European bedrack that is possible. Oh, and Wi-if? You will be kicked off every 2 minutes because they keep it on the absolute lowest cheapest setting possible. I had to go to restaurants to use WiFi. This is an example of a hotel that squeezes out each time to save costs, and it WILL effect you *Hot rooms *Terrible bed *Worst WiFi You deserve better. Follow you gut, and do not stay at hotels that treat you like this with the things you want the most, comfort.

The air conditioning was terrible the room was very warm. The wifi barely worked. The lady taking care of the breakfast in the morning was using her hands, without gloves on, to put the food out.

The hotel wasn’t very bad but it’s very old and not renovated, The internet speed is terrible 1.5 mbs with bad connection very difficult to watch a video you feel like in 1995🙁 very disappointed about the internet speed. Bathroom was good except the toilet seat is located between the shower cabinet and sink by a strange angle I’m skinny and it was really difficult to fit there,if you are a big person forget it at all (room 120). First they gave me a room in a fifth floor which was very small and has a lot of ants 🐜,I complained about it,then they gave me the one in the first floor with the strange toilet position🚽. The location is good enough. Staff are nice,not too friendly but they are ok. Breakfast is medium quality. No signs hanging on the door to use it,like clean the room or I’m sleeping 😴,you have no choice. The hotel is not the worst but it’s not the best choice.

The AC is as weak as the wifi in this hotel. We were never able to sleep because of the stifling heat at all hours of the day. The free buffet breakfast on the patio was the most charming part of this hotel. The furniture could stand for some replacements. Beds were rock hard. Took three days of no sleep for it to finally catch up with us for a night of exhausted sleep. Glad to have moved cities. Not recommended.

A poorly maintained and extremely unpleasant place to stay. The staff are aloof and unhelpful whilst the property is aged and very uncomfortable. our room was a small, grubby and very unwelcoming. the shower flooded when used and had sharp, broken metal edges which left scars I still carry. breakfast was in a tiny corner room most unsuitable for the number of guests, ruled over by a moody and grumpy staff and consisted of the bare minimum that the hotel could get away with each day. the front staff could not have cared less about our concerns and simply wanted more money.

You get what you pay for & we got a good deal at good low price. The hotel is typical of a lot of Rome. A little too tatty & needs a bit of TLC & decorating in our room. It was clean & authentic. Has nice features, like balcony & roof top areas. It has a good location.

Beautiful historic hotel about 15 minutes walk from Termini. Great buffet breakfast, friendly helpful staff. There is a fitness room with weight machines. Will definitely return here in the near future.

Lovely hotel great location and the breakfast was delicious. The staff at reception were helpful, not friendly however and the staff at breakfast were the same not welcoming. A smile doesn’t cost anything. Overall the hotel was clean and in a great location. I would stay here again if I go back to Rome . Breakfast pastries to die for.

Nice hotel near to Termini station and lot of restaurants. Hotel is very old and so are the equipments etc. Staff is helpful.
