What made our stay special was Francesco. One night I forgot my phone in a taxi that I paid cash for and thus had no receipt for. He helped me call the taxi company and spoke with the driver and arranged a drop off. Customer service went above and beyond. The hotel itself was perfectly adequate. Room was small but what we needed, was a space to crash. Its convenient to buses that will take you into the main center. Hotel restaurant doesnt run lunch during December, and will shut down if no one shows up.

Great accommodation!
Kolping Domitilla Hotel is a very nice hotel. We enjoyed the convenience that it offers like taxi or bus service to go around the city center. The restaurant onsite is a plus. It is close to the famous old Roman road called Appian Way. It also very close to one of the Catacombs that is famous in the area. We recommend it very much.

Great location. Finding Uber is really difficult. But order a taxi and life couldn't be better. Breakfast is great with a nominal charge. Hotel rooms are fabulous.

Clean room, helpful staff, good breakfast with lots of options. It's a little outside from the center of Rome, but an 8 minute walk to the bus station. My only gripe is that there was only one outlet.

I have already reviewed in on google, property falsely advertised their new rooms to book and they were only available to book from March 2019 so we unknowingly booked ourselves to the most disgusting room in the whole world. Staff is lovely though.

Cheap hotel in good location.

Close to bus stops.
The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly. Our flight arrived after 11.30pm but the hotel staff went the extra mile to make sure someone would be there to check us in which we really appreciated. The breakfast buffet had a fair range of food. The food at the restaurant was delicious and I ended up eating there a few times. The nearest bus stop is within roughly a 5-10 minute walk of the hotel which is very convenient.

Too far from the downtown. we had to take the city bus in order to get there, taxis' are too expensive. We got pick-pocketed and I lost my wallet and both of our cell phones. While in this hotel, we wanted to talk to a tourist agent in order to book several outings, but there were none, this hotel doesn't provide this service, so you are left on your own. We should have stayed in a hotel that were in the downtown area to avoid these problems.

Very clean. Staff are friendly. There wasn't an iron or laundry, nor was there a laundromat nearby. The closest dry cleaner was a 15-minute walk away and difficult to find.

Small rooms and far from the city
Spend the extra money and get a hotel closer to the city. Italian cabs like to play games with tourist. and one with actual rooms not ones where the bed takes up all the space. They give you 2 pillows. And the mattress was uncomfortable. They also have a joke of a TV like the Michael Scott TV from the office. And the shower was extremely small.

Great Stay!
Had a great stay at this hotel, right next to the catacombs! A bit far out from the centre however, there are good transport links. Lovely rooms and there is a nice reasonably priced restaurant. Also near a supermarket and pizza restaurant which is authentic Italian I would recommend. Only downfall is the walls are a bit thin and the housekeeping turn up bright and early but overall a lovely stay! Would stay again!

Great alternative to staying in city centre
Hotel is clean and we had no issues with noise others have mentioned. We went at the start of November and the heating was on and room got hot at night so had to sleep with the window open. Staff friendly and printed some things for us at no charge. No map of the city available which is unusual, but picked one up in tourist office. I would stay here again if in Rome as much cheaper alternative to the city centre, for a better quality hotel.

Hotel itself was very good, clean and comfortable but not great location, far from city and 9 minutes walk to the nearest convenient bus stop to city centre. Helpful and polite staff specially the lady works in the restaurant. After a bad hotel experience in Paris, Kolping made the rest of our holiday convenient.

Very good for the price
The room was small but had everything I needed. The shower was excellent, powerful enough and no shortage of hot water. The bed was very comfortable and, when I needed an extra pillow this was immediately supplied. As others have said, the only issue is with the sound proofing. Absolutely everything going on in the adjoining room could be clearly heard. I was lucky, my neighbours were considerate and the bout of lovemaking one night was mercifully short! Breakfast is excellent value for money (6.5), I could not fault it. The staff were pleasant and always helpful, from the reception, the room attendants and the restaurant staff. It was in a quiet area and the bus links to the centre of Rome were excellent. If I came back to Rome I would certainly stay again.

We stayed in an economy room since we didn't plan to be there much. No issue with the room. It was actually very quiet.. For our purpose it was in a good place and even better there's a great gelato shop not too far away.. Maybe a 5min walk. It's nice the restaurant charges to your room so you can just pay all at once. Staff is nice.

Quiet Hotel
This is a nice place to go if you're looking to be away from the city's noise, it is about 20 minutes on a bus ride from the main attractions... We use it just to rest from the long walking journey.

The hotel was a cool sanctuary to return to when temperatures were up to 40°C outside. It was clean and airy. The double bedroom we had was a decent size. The electric blinds provided a complete black out and the bed was comfy. As other have mentioned the walls do not provide much sound proofing but I was only aware of other guests on 1 of the 5 nights we stayed.The staff were all friendly and helpful.We did not try the restaurant for lunch or dinner but we did have breakfast each morning. There was a good range of items to choose from: hot food ( bacon, sausage and scrambled egg) cold items ( mozzarella, pickles, cold meat, cheese, tomatoes) fruit, yogurt, pancakes, cereal, and baked goods including apricot or plum cake. The hotel was a bit outside the city walls and it took around 20-30 minutes by bus to the city centre.

Lovely hotel (shame about 1 rude staff member)
This is a lovely hotel, although a little far out for visiting central Rome. The buses run every 15-25 minutes to the nearest/local Metro station. The grounds to the hotel are beautiful, the rooms are a good size and clean. The site next door is well worth a visit. On the downside the breakfast is advertised as being available 7 to 10am, however on arrival to breakfast at 9.45, we found things were already packed away and treated very rudely told by 1 staff member. (Hotel - I would suggest you change your advertised meal times or extend your service to the stated times). Overall a decent hotel, (but for UK travellers) staff have more of a Swiss/ German vibe than an Italian welcome.

Little way from Rome but nice quiet area.
Staff were friendly and attentive, especially the ladies in the restaurant. Always working to keep restaurants and terrace tidy and clean. Little distance from Rome but walking distance to bus stop and taxi rank. €8 to Rome by cab unless you want to experience the bus as we were there for three nights we took a taxi. Reception looked after our luggage as we arrived early and had lunch available even though the restaurant was open later so excellent service all around. Staff are extremely helpful. Well done and we would most likely stay again if we return to Rome.
