Great place of you like a lovely, warm setting. The historical building has its pros and cons, but it's been redone pretty well.
Professional staff, great food options, right in the town centre and near major groceries, usually open till 8pm.
Cons: I find the mattress too firm for my taste. Ok if you like it. "Classic" room might be small for 2. Not much taxis availability around 8-9am cause they all do school runs (!). Limited Uber, but ok if you're flexible with time and can shift more towards 9.30am.
Unique, tudor building , with beautiful decor.
Staff were pleasant and very helpful .
Thoughtful gestures, ' welcome note , wishing you a pleasant stay '
Restaurant doesnt open on a monday , but a recommendation was given , which was also excellent..
I knew the White Horse because I used to live in Romsey but never stayed there before. It's been up and down over the years and this is definitely an up time.
Very welcoming, very friendly. All clean and well appointed.
We asked for a child bed in the room which was ready when we arrived. The mattress was worn and very uncomfortable. Spoke to reception in the morning and it was being changed by the time I got back to the room.
A lovely hotel in the heart of Romsey.. Lots of lovely nooks & crannies to sit & relax with a drink, a book or friends. Cosy bar area. Staff all lovely very cheerful & helpful. The thing that let it down for us was the food. A good menu with such promise but unfortunately not executed very well and the cooked breakfast was also disappointing. We would stay again but eat elsewhere.
