This is an excellently situated hotel with friendly staff and nice, big rooms. My only complaint is the AC didn’t work properly which would make it quite uncomfortable in Summer

Happy with our 4 day stay. It is licted on a semi busy street right at the base of the lesser fotress that overlooks old town. A quick.walk through a well lit tunnel and you are.in old town. Staff was excellent and friendly

Nice hotel. We had a very quiet room on the back side. The shower was amazing! So much HOT water…loved it since it was damp and chilly out. Good breakfast for 16€. Easy to get into old town.

I know that some have commented on street noise. With the windows not locked in the closed position, noise does filter through, but when they are locked, noise is no problem. ALL personnel at the facility were pleasant and knowledgeable. It's a very easy walk through the tunnels into the old city. We'd definitely stay here again.

Overall, a very decent place. Staff were very helpful and professional, going out of their way to help. My only concern is the noise level outside our window. I think because we had a room facing the main street, it was quite loud there, even late into the night and I am a very light sleeper. Otherwise, a great place to stay in Salzburg.

Staff was extremely helpful with scheduling an early morning ride to the train. There weren’t many dining options on that side that were open but overall the hotel was a great price and the staff was amazing for our very short stay! Would definitely recommend.

Location was good. Booked room with 2 beds and got a tiny room with 1 bed and a pullout couch. Staff did not care! To pay almost $400/night is outrageous. Bathroom was tiny. Very disappointing! Would not recommend this hotel!!!!

The room was not cleaned. There was someone's underwear (!) on the floor in the room. The toilet seat was with old pee stains. The next morning we also discovered that the shower walls were covered with hair and there were old used band-aids on upper shower fixture. At the check out we reported the conditioned of the room to the reception and we were offered another room in the backyard building. However, the toilet seat in the other room also had old pee stains. According to the manager it is impossible to remove pee stains (!), but at least he removed someone's underwear from the room. Also the door lock of the toilet did work - and it looks like the stuck latch was there long before us. Horrible experience. By the way, the new name of the hotel is Leonardo.

The place is in the thick of it. The staff was great. Great A/C (hard to find in Europe) and the breakfast was super. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Salzburg. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Geared more toward Europeans in the following ways: breakfast and lack of mini refrigerator. It was quite warm when we were there so after a long day of walking, I appreciate small cold liquids. We are not big fans of eating lunch meats for breakfast. The other hotels were stayed at offered more selection for breakfast. Also, the mini safe in the room was about 7 inches off the floor...didn't want to get on all fours to use it. The room I would consider as average in decor and functionality.

Great Place!
The people at reception were very welcoming and extremely helpful. The room was large, well laid out and clean. The hotel is in a great location to be able to walk to the sites, has a bus stop across the road, and close to a large grocery store. I was disappointed that there was no coffee or tea in the room. It would be nice if coffee makers could be added to the rooms or, at least, be available upon request.

A decent hotel reasonably close to everything. If I had not stayed here I would have never discovered the yellow asian food hut across the street (Mister Le’s) and that would’ve been a loss

Convenient location, will stay again.
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Double glazing ensured that room facing the road remained quiet. Pleasant and safe 5 minute walk through tunnel into heart of Salzburg old town. Trolley bus stop right in front of hotel with direct service to Airport (20 mins) and Train station. Supermarket and eateries within 5 mins walking distance.

The location is great, very quiet but still at walking distance from the main attractions. The rooms are clean and quiet. Staff is very nice.
