I recently stayed at La Penisone hotel in San Diego and would rate it a 3/10. The staff was friendly and accommodating, but the hotel itself felt unsettling from the start. The room I initially checked into was only partially cleaned, with hair on the dresser, prompting me to change rooms quickly. The new room had outdated indoor-outdoor carpet and a leaking air conditioner that poured water onto the floor every night. Everything was outdated, with exposed wires coming from the back of the TV, and there were gnats and flies in the room. Although the hotel is in a beautiful location, it desperately needs updated decor, fresh paint, and new flooring to replace the stinky old carpet. The hotel has potential but currently lacks appeal. They need to improve significantly!
