It was the worst hotel experience I have ever had in my life. We usually don’t complain but this was so horrible. The first night was terrible and we barely slept a minute. The upstairs was noisy, heavy footsteps, shaking ceiling all night. It was impossible to sleep with such thin wall. Then we asked the staff to change. The lady worked in the morning promised she would change us to an upper level and asked us to leave luggage in front desk and said when we came back late in the day, everything would be all settled. I even confirmed several times that if we need to get some note to confirm this conversation. She said no….. So we packed everything and put luggage in the front desk and went out for touring. When we came back to the hotel late in the day, the clerk told us everything was booked out, no room available. The change was not done!! We were forced to go back the original noisy 1st floor room. And the even worst part was, they didn’t even clean the room!! We had to unpack again! I couldn’t even believe this was something that could happen in a Marriott system hotel. The morning when we checked out, the lady who created such trouble to us did not even apologize!? How could a hotel hire such rude, unprofessional staff?? I will never stay in any Fairfield Inn. For those of u traveling to San Jose, stay away from this hotel if you don’t want to ruin your trip.
