"The street looks a little scary when arriving at night but is probably safe due to enough people being out and about. The noise was somewhat abated by the shutters. Most of the staff was friendly and very helpful. The overnight desk clerk was not so nice. We had a half bottle of wine left from our dinner down the street and he would not even let us use wine glasses. "

"10min walk to the nearest train station to get to other areas of italy such as florence and cinque terre. 15min walk to the tower of Pisa. Clean chalet, friendly & helpful staff, shop/cafe/restaurant on site. Kitchen area equipped with basics for cooking, there is no kettle,toaster, oven or microwave - just a 4 ringed gas hob which i feel could be improved more. Lots of mosquitos so ensure you pack repellant. Towels to hire. Good quality supermarket 10min walk away. I would definitely stay here...

The hotel was perfect to walk to the lido or local pizzerias (about 20mins) the bus service was frequent and easy to get to from the train station. "We had a cancelled flight and needed to find accommodation in Pisa quickly. We were glad we chose Hotel Maria at the last minute. Friendly and efficient check in and we were given a bigger room than booked, which was appreciated. Although a small space, it was extremely clean and the bed was super comfortable. Literally a 2 minute walk to the train station and the Pisamover for our trip back to the airport so very convenient. Thank you for having us :)"

"Clean room and nice receptionist. The bathroom doesn't have good ventilation and isolation, so you could hear the water tank filling up. The isolation to the hallway wasn't that good either, but it didn't effect us, but a factor to consider for light sleepers."
