"Loved our time here. It was so quiet and restful. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed seeing rabbits and sheep close by. A special treat was watching the golden pheasants outside while we ate dinner and breakfast. The staff were super friendly. "

All the staff we encountered were very pleasant. The only issue we had was a cold shower that never did warm up at all. Presumably a maintenance issue that will be corrected in short order. "

"Hugh's house was so homey and comfortable! AMAZING views all around, sheep to watch out back. While remote, it's close to many famous trails and a cafe nearby. While unmarked and a white car sits next to (we thought someone was in it), pay attention to the pics and map. We went mid-May and us visitors were already picking up. Parking was scarce at the hiking trails, the narrow roads were getting too loaded with cars to navigate taking turns getting through. Reservations at the cafe are a necessity, and there was NO parking avail in Portree, except at the CO-OP grocery store."

"If, like myself, you only drink water with dinner, don't joke with the waitstaff about too many options. She soured after that. A minor hiccup in an otherwise excellent stay."
