Our room was nothing like the photos on the website. The entire apartment was extremely dated and in need of a remodel and our bathroom and kitchen look absolutely nothing like what was advertised on the website. The one we paid for and expected looked far more modern, completely different units, appliances and furniture and fsr brighter. Sadly, what we ended up with was frankly not what we paid for. It wasn't until our final day we managed to get a glimpse into our direct neighbours room (on both sides of our apartment) plus a friends room across the courtyard and they are modelled completely differently and do reflect the website. We also had a lot of very noisy maintenance workers outside our bedroom window banging, grinding and drilling every morning at 8.15am onwards. Very disappointed and would not recommend at all!!!!!

Property was clean and tidy but the booking didn’t include breakfast (my fault). This wasn’t a problem as you can get breakfast everywhere in the area and it’s cheaper than the hotel (unless you’re after the buffet breakfasts usually served in the big hotels.

The location is excellent, staff friendly and helpful, pool area is lovely, I enjoyed the cocktails at the pool. The accommodation was fresh modern and clean. The one bed duplex was perfect for me and my teenage son. Overall I was really impressed with the hotel

Very nice room better than expected but our friends ended up in one that hasn’t been refurbished so quite disappointing. The worst thing are lack of sun beds and idiots putting towels on them in the early hours then walking away for hours and arguing if somebody removes them it clearly states that you can or the hotel will remove towels after 30mins of no one being on them but they don’t carry this out and it leads to confrontation it’s just people being selfish mostly brits too. The location is great and the pool nice. Maid service is also very good If they just sorted the sunbed issue made people stick to the rules it would be great.

Our stay started with a very nice and friendly check-in. Unfortunately, this was the only positive aspect of our stay! When we entered the room, we immediately applied a stale stench. The whole decor and ambiance of the room was “bad” at the moment. After going to the toilet I locked myself because there was no buckle on the door. The air conditioner is an old ceiling fan (does not cool anything). The highlight of this stay were the cockroaches in the room (disgusting, large and not pleasant to see). We first tried to call the front desk. But guess what? The phone does not work. We went to the reception, explained the situation and expressed our dissatisfaction. Instead of understanding or apologizing, we received a rude response and arrogance from the employees. Her response was "You have a standard room, lower your expectations."

The location is amazing. Right next to the beach. Lots of places to eat around it and not far from shops and the water park. The room was really nice with a balcony and 2nd floor bedroom. Didn’t use the pool area as wanted to use the beach but it looked popular. Staff were nice and friendly. Would highly recommend it.

Great location disappointed with attitude
E-mailed ahead asking for a sunny balcony if possible. We were allocated a room on the only side of the building with no sun all day. Main road heavy traffic. Asked for possible move. Advised no way and that the larger tour operators took priority over us? Disappointed. Asked again two days later as hotel appeared to not be full and offered to pay upgrade fee. Was told someone would contact us. Again we were informed that the larger tour operators took priority over us? No one contacted us. The settee colapsed The telephone did not work The shower control came off in your hand. Only room on site with a shutter missing. The boiler screamed each time a tap was used below us, hence very early wake up calls.

You have booked a standard room, which is not pool view and is street view. . Pool view rooms have supplements . Alll our guests are treated in the same way , no matter with which tour operator they have booked. Normally, if something is broken, our reception always arrange that this is repaired immediately. We are sorry again for the fact that your holiday was not to your entire satisfaction. However, we hope that despite of that you enjoyed your stay and we would like to point out once more , all our guests definitely are treated the same way , because all are our guests, no matter which natonality or through whom they have booked.

Very big hotel close to shops bars and beach
All in all a lovely hotel everything close at hand the only down fall was no air con which I didn't read till already booked my fault. But it did make it uncomfortable to sleep, cant imagine what it would be like in August. Shame because it is the only fault

Well situated close to beach , shops and nightlife. We was only self catering and found apartment ok but a bit basic and kitchen units tired and leak on bathroom floor. At night time if we opened bedroom window could hear all sorts of things and people talking televisions on and people coming back at al hours , so found that a bit annoying but on the whole was good for families. The girls who did the entertainment in the bar in the evening were excellent and really friendly and worked hard as we found all the staff to be excellent and couldn't do enough. The complex was very clean and the pool area good with plenty of sun beds .

Freezing pool after six stays before NEVER again
Having stayed here six times in the past as it is a great hotel they charged for an extra night when we were not there and would not refund it. Only £79.00 but it is not right. Booked a room and contacted the hotel and Expedia several times as I cannot get upstairs at the moment and I am aware some rooms are on two levels but this stay I could not have the two floored units. ............................ You guessed it they only had a double floored unit left even though I had paid for the previous night and would not refund it. For this reason they "found" a room which was fine. The hotel staff are top notch but the hotel is now penny pinching, the pool was not heated so was freezing, very few people braved the cold water and no toys or balls are allowed any more which spoils things for the kids, lucky we were on our own this visit. I asked about the pool and was told they are only heating it at certain times but when we went in November last year it was off then??? Hotel not bad but not without a pool which when it is so cold that is how it is. Sorry not again

Nice family hotel
Family holiday. Great hotel with daily entertainment in hotel area and close to Siam Park Waterland and other parks. Hard Rock Cafe approx 300 meters down street. Exit from hotel direct to beach walk. Nice and clean upgraded area. Wifi coverage is absent or bad unless you are in the pool area or room facing pool. Wifi cost was 15 euro for 1 week for one device, 25 euros for 2 devices.

Great location for bars, shops, restaurants. Would benefit from some minor updates/improvements such as air con & redecorating some areas. Pool was very nice with lots of loungers. Could be noisy at night - sound appeared to echo all around the site.

Realy enjoyed our stay in family gardens,great location near beach and shop.The rest of my family came up to us everyday as they loved the beach behind the hotel. At night as it was near to the entertainments.Realy loved our stay and family gardens will see us again.

2 twin beds and 1 sofabed. 603 square feet (56 square meters). Bedroom, kitchen, and sitting area (bedroom is upstairs in duplex apartments). Private balcony with pool and sea view. Ceiling fan. Simple, modern decor with tiled floors and wooden furniture. WiFi for a surcharge. Safe, direct-dial phone, and flat-screen TV. 2-ring electric hob, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, espresso maker, kettle, crockery, cookware, and dishes in the kitchen. Private bathroom with shower/tub combination and makeup/shaving mirror. Complimentary cribs/infant beds and hair dryers (both on request). Rollaway bed on request (surcharge).Sound great, this is the room description you gave me for my stay here it was totally inaccurate why? this is what we got I. Room in block 11 S facing onto street with a shared balcony other residents passing by the day and night. 2. Had to pay for (complementary )hair dryer and fan which was needed due to no Airconditioning. 3. Staff so bad in reception when I asked on 3 different days to change to a room with a sea view they just totally refused even though we were ready to pay extra they pretended they had none!!!!the hotel was certainly not full, very disappointed with Hotels.com for wrong info, only thing good about this place is location. Loved the area been there several times before, but will never stay at this accomadation again.

Clean all round, great for kids, great family hols
We have been numerous times here as a couple and have enjoyed it, this is the first time stopping with our children and thought it was wonderful. Park for the kids, sand pit, and little pool is great for them with 2 slides into it. Will defo go back.

Good hotel with Scandinavian "Lolly and Bernie" children club. Nice hotel at a very good location in Playa de Las Americas. Noise from street if you don't have "pool view". Very close, 500 meter walk, to the best beach in Playa de Las Americas, and 15 minute walk to neighbor beach in Los Christianos. From the Airport (TFS) we used taxi both directions, it took approx 15 minutes and approx 25 Euro. Lot of good new shops and restaurants in the area, including high end expensive shops.

The hotel has excellent location close to the beach. Supermarkets are near, but the bus stations aren't. To much sun at the morning, so the room was extremely frowzy. The room cleaniness was more or less ok. The night staff didn't speak english and everybody at the reception seemed to be apathetic. We requested for late check out till 13:30, but it was not allowed due to high occupation of the hotel. As I work at the reception desk, I khow that it is not a big deal for the hotel anyway. We were provided a courtesy room, but there were no sitting place or towels. Anyway I liked the hotel because its location is the most important advantage.

Convenient for beach, shops and night life.
2nd stay at the Compestela Beach Apartments. Clean, convenient for the shops, beach and restaurants etc. Stayed in a one bed rather than a two bed this time, didn't cook at all but just used the flat as a base, lived by the pool! Apartment clean and tidy, beds comfortable. No problems at all and really enjoyed the break. Would go back again with no hesitatations. Staff friendly (bar a few of the receptionists who are a bit miserable), pool clean, plenty of sun beds, don't know about the food as didn't eat there but looked OK from what we could see.

Nice hotel in great location
This is the 2nd time we stayed at the Compostela and both times we have had a great holiday. The hotel has been fully refurbished and is now looking far better than before. The room was immaculate with nice decor and thoroughly cleaned 5 days out of 7. The pool area is nice with good sunbeds and parasols. Only downside is the lift does not go to the pool area and so we had to carry our 8 month old downstairs in his buggy. Would be a problem if there was only 1 person there or someone in a wheelchair. You could go out at reception and then round to a side gate to get to the pool though so it's not totally inaccessible. This is the only downside to a very decent hotel with friendly, helpful staff.

The location is excellent but the quality of the room is only ONE star. Room is very old with aging furniture. We booked a see-view room based on the photos but we discovered that the terrace is actually part of a corridor.

I liked that it was located right on the beach. Very hard to find a parking space though. The room was nice, but not very clean. But for the price value I can't complain. Staff was friendly too.

Fint område for barnefamilier. Rommene kunne vært litt renere, men ellers fine rom. Trang heis og litt trange ganger for vogn og evt rullestol. Frokosten var litt for dårlig.
