Happy with size of room and clean we asked for couple bits as in a lamp and in a flash it was there nothing was to much trouble. The stay was very enjoyable thank you

Smelly
The room was very nice. However, the hotel is going through a major refurbishment. The room i stayed in, had just been refurbished, the room smelt so strong of paint, it gave me a headache. As it had just been refurbished, i would have thought in this day and age, air conditioning would be a standard thing, however, not the case. The caberet bar looked nice, but smelled very strong of damp / mould. All in all a very disappointing visit.

Ok stay in Torquay
The hotel was clean and secure but the room was very very hot. I went cheap and got a single room but the bed was boxed in on 3 sides and I couldn’t stretch out at all. When I checked in all the windows were closed which is weird considering it was a hot day. The room was a sweat box!!

Overall, not a great stay
The king bed we’d booked and paid for had not been attached properly and separated in the middle. The shower took forever to heat up. The room was small and squashed. There was no signal. Staff started off dismissive but warmed quickly and were very nice in the end. The pool was very small and the one time we tried to use it it quickly filled up with a lot of people, some were breaking the rules that were clearly stated on the sign, and there was no hot tub or sauna.

We had a 3 night stay.. In a family room.. We asked to change to a different room the following morning... Very old rooms wallpaper hanging off loose bathroom floor tiles.. If we wanted a better room we had to pay £60 extra Plus as we booked through hotels. Com we got charged for parking £21.. This is unfair ...

Stayed in a refurbished room, was nicely decorated and very clean. Bed and pillows were too soft for me but that’s just my preference. Breakfast was good. Pool was clean and the kids enjoyed the long opening hours for it.

Very large hotel .Only 1.side of building caters for disabled. Only1 lift in certain part oog hotel, so not catered for disabled with mobility problems .excellent service from all staff .

Hello! Thank you for your review. We currently have a lift that services the north wing meaning some rooms are not lift accessible. However! the 50 new, air conditioned refurbished rooms being built, will all be serviced by the new south wing lift due to be completed in September :)

Made to feel so welcome and it does make all the difference - nothing was too much trouble for anyone. Exceptionally clean room and the fan helped greatly with the heat we were experiencing. Very much appreciated the hot tub after a long day trekking around the coastline. The hotel had quite a bit to offer in terms of entertainment.
