I arranged a pre paid booking, but on check in they asked how I was going to pay. I confirmed it was pre paid, but they said the credit card used had not worked. I paid again and contacted Hotels.com to sort out. They confirmed it was pre paid successfully and contacted the hostal Alba. They refused to discuss the matter, so I have to go through my credit card to get a refund on my second payment.
While the hostal was in a great location, comfortable & clean I suggest you avoid it. The staff during this issue were also less than helpful.
The address on the booking confirmation was wrong, so satnav couldn't find it.
The confirmation also said tea & coffee in room, but on arrival I was told it was only if you'd booked B & B. You couldn't book B & B through hotels.com.
The last thing I thought deserved a mention before I booked, was the fact there is a construction site next door. While they started at 8.30am, I realise it could have been worse but I still expected more of a lie in on holiday.
