For stunning natural beauty, take a ferry to Middle Caicos. Hike along the shores of Mudjin Harbour, a lagoon that connects to an offshore cay. For bird-watching, head to the south of the island and search for flamingos, egrets and sand pipers.
Another must-see destination is the island of Salt Cay, named for its important role in the Bermudian salt industry. Walk up Taylor’s Hill between January and April and look for whales out at sea from the elevated viewpoint.
Most international flights arrive to Provo. From here, continue your journey by taking a ferry to another island. Consider renting a bicycle. Cycling is an easy way to get around as the islands are mostly flat. Book a trip from January to April for warm temperatures and dry conditions.
