"There is a mosque near by with loudspeakers. The rooms are fairly soundproof between rooms, but the doors can be heard opening & closing at all hours as the 20-30 yr olds mingle. Bright stylish rooms but the old wood around the communal kitchen sink lets one know that maintenance isn’t a priority. The pool is in front and smaller than pictured. Lots of lounging seats in the lobby and pool area. Staff are super helpful with luggage up & down stairs. Because it’s so close to the airport, grab cars...

"Stayed in the 6 bed dorm. It was a bit of a mess with 4 other ppl's belongings taking up every imaginable surface but was lucky no one snored too badly as there's absolutely no sound proofing. Bring ear plugs. Bathroom was clean. Don't sit on the furniture outside as everything is crawling with ants"

"I love the hammocks area, feel like sleeping in the jungle. 18mins away from the airport so you won’t have to worry about missing your flight. You can find great local balinese restaurants e.g. Jessica. Also, you need to try 24/7 homemade rojak, nuggets and samosa. The best in town. Will come back!"

"Very disappointed with our stay here, the room was not clean and smelled extremely strongly of smoke. We tried everything to get rid of the smell but nothing helped. There was also damp on the walls and the curtains were mouldy. Would avoid staying here again in the future."

"DO NOT GO HERE. I’ve been to a couple hostels in Bali now and do understand some are nicer than others but this one is disgusting. Me and my friend were put in a room that the ceiling is falling apart, no AC and shared a room with workers which was uncomfortable. Woke up with so many bites. The bathrooms are covered in spiders and frogs. We made it through one night and left automatically in the morning. Would absolutely not suggest."

Staffs,,, they are the best, I would stay 6 nights, I extended 6 more nights only for staffs. They are so friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay in this hostel, if I visit Bali again "

"Luckily I didn't stay here too long. I arrived and they thought I didn't realise they gave me the broken bunk bed. Toilets are bad. Locations is very good. WiFi wasn't too great either. You have to pay to refill your water which I thought was stupid. However it does seem like a sociable hostel to meet new people. For first time backpackers I would recommend."

"At first we thought we were in the middle of no-where, but actually the villa’s position is perfect. You absolutely need a motorbike but then you are 5-10 mins from everything great beaches, restaurants shops bars etc. we stayed in Villa 3, minimal construction noise which didn’t affect us at all. The villa is perfect well appointed great pool extremely comfortable. Quiet private. Highly recommend as long as you have a scooter… the villa helped us to rent one and had it delivered to the villa...

"I would definitely stay again at Grun as the hotel and amenities are great, but there are some lessons to be learned in customer service. I booked an in-room massage, the masseuse was 30 minutes late and no one notified me of the delay. This was very frustrating as I had plans later, and with it being my last day in Uluwatu I felt like I was wasting away time. It would have been ideal if the front desk notified me of the delay, considering as they were transporting the masueus around the...
