Disappointing, poor experience.
I was very disappointed with my stay at Cosy Rooms for the following reasons. The main positive point I'd mention first is the location which is very good for access to the centre and the old town. The beds were also large and comfortable. 1. The noise. Late arrivals to the hotel were incredibly noisy and kept us up very late. The sound proofing between rooms is very poor - you can hear other guests snoring and it kept us awake. 2. The cleanliness. Firstly the sink isn't located in the bathroom which makes washing your hands / cleaning teeth etc quite tricky. The room and shared spaces inc. hallway were not clean. We also spotted a cockroach in the bathroom. 3. The staff were not very friendly. 4. The hot tub is featured prominently on the page to attract travellers but it was empty and unclean when we stayed there - and therefore not usable. I wouldn't recommend Cosy Rooms to others, and were disappointed at the quality especially as the costs were very high (as it was the marathon weekend).

The main picture advertising this hotel is the hot tub on the terrace, when we got there it was off, covered in dust and cold swampy water in it. I booked this hotel specifically for the hot tub to relax! False advertising.

It is in the historic centre of Valencia, which is very pretty! Positives: - everything is in a walking distance (food and shops) - no carpet in room - hairdryer and towels are given to you - some staff was nice, others a little more cold - room was clean - airconditioning - door to hotel had a code (safe!) - elevator Negatives: - cockroach in room - shower water wouldnt go down the drain easily - lots of 18-20 year olds that were extremely loud when coming back from the door (yelling, slamming down doors,…) - thin sheets - a little far from the beach (40-50 mins with public transport)

You... get what you pay for? The place is one of those tiny new rooms made by chopping up old apartments. The shape was strange, with many corners, making it almost impossible to avoid banging one's shins or elbows. It's also super challenging to navigate around a second person as the walking space is pretty much one channel. There was some overall shabby-chic effect with exposed brick and cement alongside posh-looking fixtures. But, like, jenky posh? The concrete floor did not look clean. There was almost no light unless the window was opened. The bath/shower was a concrete trough, that honestly looked disgusting, but one of us was brave enough to try it. The shower has fixed glass sides, but no curtain - so ample splash-out is impossible to avoid. The showerhead\tap is near incomprehensible to operate and took about half an hour to figure out. I only stumbled across the main shower briefly so used the hose stick mainly. There is a thermostat control but no cooling. It was extremely hot, and without any AC or even fans it was very difficult to sleep. I would recommend this hotel only if you have a penchant for discomort.

I might go back if they paid me.
First of all the wrong date was booked because of a computer glitch during the booking process. They were uncompromising and would not allow for a simple date switch for a date with the same price. Completely unflexible. Then, Despite arriving ay a reasonable hour between 3PM and 6PM there was no reception in the building. It's not a real hotel. Its a glorified "airb&b" type. After walking to the other location, the receptionist lady was niether friendly nor unfriendly. Just there. The room I experienced was peculiar. Cosy is a hilarious application for bizzarely designed. For example: the bathroom sink is not inside the bathroom. It is on the farthest wall away, on the other side of the bed. Rhe mirror is a window that is permanently locked. The counter area is not waterproof and it is wearing away. There was only room for one bed side table. Which the screws were falling out. The bed side lamp was very broken, seemed dangerous. Laslty there was only one double hook in the bathroom. It is placed very very far from the actual shower. The whole space gets wet. There is no bathroom door, it is a curtain. There is a balcony whuch is good for ventilating shoes in humid Valencia weather. The worst thing about the room is tha balcony door/window only has a curtain covering it and is a single piece of fabric. At first light there is no refuge. The room is bright! At Noon check-out there was a receptionist. For whatever reason the add photos button isn't working.

The property, in its immediate area was somewhat suspect, but a block from there you were are near everything that you want to see. Communication was not the best. Had to go to one location to obtain a key, the older women that checked us in was very nice, and took the time to show us on a map the sites in the area. Then had a young man walk us to our room, which was about 5-minutes away. The one man walked about 20 meters in front of us the entire time not saying a word to us, while my wife and I carried our luggage. When we got to the building, he handed us a card, said here is the code, the Wi-Fi and password. Then said bye! The room, had no extras, i.e. no coffee pot, but room service did an excellent job! And, when they say “cozy”, they mean “tiny.”

Location is excellent to all attractions, however THIS HOTEL IS NOT A GOOD VALUE - should be 50E per night or less. We booked a Superior double room with a tub and stayed 1 night. Check in is at a different location which is a 7 minute walk away. Rooftop terrace is nothing like the photos and you have to call to have someone come and unlock the door to access it. Shower was very nice and hot but I’d rather bathe in a city fountain than the cement bathtub! Room was dark and air conditioning shuts off if you leave, so it smelled humid and musty for a while after returning to the room until it cooled down. Balconies are shared with other rooms and have no real view (other than a vacant lot with graffiti). Also did not lock well. Breakfast was at an even further location away (10-12 min walk) and consists of only bread, whole fruit and beverages (definitely not worth the additional cost). Luggage storage is not locked and suitcase/bags are not checked with owners name.

For the price I got, my 4 night stay couldn’t have been better. I got the superior double room, a spacious enough room with great rain shower-heads and a balcony that gives you a look at the city. It is in perfect walking distance to walk to anywhere for meals or to go shopping. The only thing is that there usually isn’t anyone in the front desk and you must check-in at the sister location, but it’s a short walk between hotels. Overall I would recommend this hotel if you need somewhere to stay at a reasonable price.

The property is located right in the center of Valencia, next to many bar and restaurants. The room was basic and had everything you might need for a night or two if the plan is to spend most of your time outsite enjoying a fantastic city. The room was very dark with only 2 windows, one in the bathroom and another one in the room but it was a mirror, therefore, no light could get into the room unless you open the window/mirror. The breakfast is served at another hostel about 10 min walking which is not ideal. Another bad thing is that there is no staff present at the reception except for a coulple of hours a day (not even at the time of check-out).

We were really excited for our stay in Valencia but I have to say the hotel was a let down. Not only is check in at another hotel so you have to drag your luggage from one place to another but the room itself is set up very odd. There is a private bathroom but the sink is in the bedroom beside by the bed. So every trip to the toilet meant walking back out and around the bed to the other side. This disturbed both of us many times when one or the other had to get up during the night. The biggest issue was when we decided to have a lay in one morning and the cleaner just let herself in. In seconds another came in without knocking and asked us if we wanted any water. Thank god we were clothed and only sleeping!! Also, the lobby smelled like cigarette and on our final day we saw why, one of the staff members was smoking at the table. Just awful.

Nice little hotel
The hotel is nice and the staff amazing, super supportive and helpful. The room is rather small, the lavabo is in the room rather than in the "bathroom area" and there is not a lot of space to move around the bed. But as long as you don't spend a lot of time in the room is perfectly fine. The breakfast is cheap (6 euro) but very limited in quantity and choices (e.g. just one coffee/cappuccino or you have to pay 1 euro extra). The area is convenient and as it is located in a side road there is not a lot of noise.

The jacuzzi advertised was a lie, they only bring it out in the summer. Which doesn’t make sense to me, just looks like the water just isn’t hot enough. No natural light in the room. On two different occasions when we had the do not disturb sign on the door the cleaner still knocked and opened. Thank god there was a corridor. Even when they came in to clean it was very minimal, I don’t expect anyone to pick up after me but something as so basic as to sweeping the floor not just changing the sheets and giving fresh towels. The breakfast was terrible. Very limited and restricted. Last year we stayed in the other site embajador and it was a lot better.

PERFECT LOCATION AND GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY
We stayed for a long weekend on a city break. Check in was simple but note that Reception has limited hours (1300-2100) so worth knowing. The staff were all great and very professional, no language barriers. The room was clean and functional but could be noisy. The bed was comfortable but could have done with an extra pillow. The location is perfect, so close to many bars, cafes and restaurants, also close to the central market, great churros! We would definitely stay here again.

Cheap for a reason.
Front desk was closed on arrival, even though they showed it would be open, so we had to walk to their other location to check in. The wifi wasnt great, and no not water in the shower. The sink isn't located in the bathroom you have to walk around the bed to get to it.

Hotel was ok for a few nights. Room was a bit disappointing as we didn’t have a bath and was in a disabled room. However didn’t spoil our trip. Although checking in was a bit of a joke (had to go to another hotel only to be told our hotel was open (the sign said reception was open at 1 but didn’t open till 2!) the location is in the old town and , although looked quite dark we felt safe.

The hotel was good. My one criticism is that I wasn’t made aware beforehand that I needed to check in at a different hotel first. Thankfully this wasn’t too far away, but is a big inconvenience when you are carrying luggage and are new to a city.

The bed seemed comfy when we went to sleep but my husband and I woke up with pain on our backs both nights we slept there. Shower was good but flooded the bathroom floor, which seem to be a recurring problem because the bathroom door had humidity damage on the bottom. No breakfast. On the bright side the one girl who works at the reception was really nice and tried her best to help us with whatever we needed.

Simple but very cool.and nice. Like a hotel level without the services. Only bad thing is that tourists don't no way around the city, there for it's not optimal to walk to war for reception to get your keys. Ps. There was no mension that you have to get the key from somewhere else.

Decent location, decent/average hostel
To get your room key you have to go to a different location to check-in. It did say this on the itinerary after booking, but I wish they would have sent a separate email reminding about this. The main area of the hostel is OK, nothing special, and the overall room was large and clean. The main issue was the connecting room which was only separated by a temporary wall which means you could hear every little noise from the next room over.

Door lock broken
The lock on our door didn't lock correctly from the outside, only from the inside and the hotel didn't move us or fix the lock. Luckily we had friends in other rooms so left our things in their rooms when we were out.

Good buy in old Valencia.
It was a fine hotel at the price. One unexpected hiccup was that the front desk was at another property, a ten minute walk away. A chest of drawers in the room would have made a huge difference. The wifi was maddeningly slow.
