"The location is beautiful and private and easy to find . Accommodation is spacious and comfortable enough ( apart from the pillows but everyone has different preferences) but felt a bit dark . It seems there is a damp issue as the property unfortunately smelt mildewy and the bed clothes were all damp on arrival which meant we had to use own blankets for the night - we wondered if there is scope to improve ventilation . The water took a long time to heat for a bath … We walked on local footpath...

"It was the perfect place for us staying in Dingle for 28 days! Douglas was very attentive to ALL my concerns or questions! Just a suggestion for guests unfamiliar with the oven - like us - have information somewhere on how to use the oven? Thank goodness for the internet and we figured it out!"

"We chose this house so we could visit Skellig Island. Sadly, the trip was cancelled due to stormy weather but we didn't mind too much as the house was such a pleasure to hunker down in! We used our downtime to catch up on showers, laundry, rest, and relaxation before resuming our tour around Ireland. "We had a wonderful stay at Fia Lodge. Located in a beautiful, peaceful setting with stunning views of MacGillycuddy’s Reeks and a great base for day trips exploring Kerry. The Lodge was beautifully presented, very comfortable, clean and modern, with bifold doors and great outdoor space. Fantastic accommodation in a beautiful setting, and we look forward to a return visit."

"Smooth booking, cot and highchair provided as requested. Great kitchen and dining space with plenty of lovely kitchenware. Heating and hot water easy and preset. Beach near the property was lovely (need to go over slippy rocky pathway to access but kids and adults could do so). Views from house were mountains, green fields and farm animals, very peaceful. "We loved the cozy space and all of the artistic touches. The communication with Rosie the house manager was excellent. It is an ideal location if you’re looking for some quietude but, easy access to Dingle center. We enjoyed walking the beach which was a 5 minute walk from the house. Highly recommend Sleepy Shell!"

"House was very spacious for our family of 11 which included 2 babies. Delighted that all rooms had en-suites with plenty of towels and all other necessary bathroom accessories. The pods for washing machine were great as we had to do a washing for baby. A lovely bowl of fruit and food in fridge were very welcome. The family were very helpful and friendly and we had a very special wedding weekend in dingle."

"What can I say, an absolutely gorgeous house and what a view!! The house exceeded our expectations- we travel with 2 wheelchair users and often struggle but this house was perfect for us. Kathleen was very quick at responding to our messages and extremely helpful with all our queries. The local area was full of friendly people and so very beautiful. "This property is perfect. There were 9 of us so having 3 bathrooms was very nice. We enjoyed playing board games in the living room looking out over Dingle Bay. There was a beautiful rainbow outside the kitchen window our first morning while we were gathering for coffee. Beds were comfortable. Breda was fantastic. My kids even got to shoot a few hoops in the driveway. I would highly recommend this home."

"The property is outstanding and we could have sat on the couches and stared out the window, all week. You can see cliffs, a beach and a beautiful view to hills on the other side of the bay. We had a couple of days of poor weather and simply stayed in and enjoyed the property. We had a few mechanical issues but most of them were our own ignorance of how the appliances worked. "Very spacious house with wonderful views. Comfortable and under floor heating meant always right temperature. Liking a log fire, this never needed. Being Kerry, one needs to be prepared for all weathers. This house very well suited to sitting in for hours -days where that weather forbids going out. Recommended, and without qualification would return for future trips"

"The most beautiful view/scenery you could expect. Sun in the morning was like waking up in heaven. Bathroom needs a little work, shower/toilet is a bit finicky, but the location and spectacular view makes it worth it. We would book it again."
