Excellent apartment in very good location. All nearby. Beach and amenities walking distance.. AIR CON. in lounge and bedroom. This also acts as heater when needed. Free WIFI. There are stairs and a lift..
Free parking spaces outside apartment block.
Outdoor pool. for guests, right next to apartment. We give you tickets for the free access. Usually opens mid June to mid September.

The apartment is perfectly located just a 5 minute walk from a wide sandy beach and pleasure marina at Caleta De Velez with Baviera 18 hole golf course a 5 minute drive away.

The apartment sleeps 2 adults in a comfortable double bed in the bedroom.
NOTE: There is also a sofa bed in the lounge suitable for ONLY one small child, up to 10 years old. Not for an adult. But please check with us first.

In the kitchen there is an under counter fridge and also a separate freezer, a microwave and hob, .Kettle, toaster, filter coffee machine.
We provide you with bedding and towels for the bathroom.. .

.The large swimming pool opens in the Summer months , usually mid June to mid September and is for the use of guests only. There is also a tennis court for the use of guests only. This has to be booked in advance. The number is on the tennis court.

A medium sized resort, Caleta has a number of cafes,bars and restaurants serving good food (especially fish and seafood) all within walking distance. Local shops and a bank are also nearby. There is a small marina. The balcony has a table and 2 chairs in and there are also 2 other chairs inside plus a folding table inside.; breakfast in the sunshine is such a treat!

The 3rd floor apartment, bright & secure in a 4 floor building with lift and intercom entry, also has free parking for guests. No busy roads to cross for beach access.

Local Lifestyle:
Caleta De Velez is a versatile holiday location on the beach with the fishing harbour and marina just a few minutes walk. The apartment is perfect for those wishing to walk on holiday as all the local facilities are no more than 5 mins walk away. You have Aldi superarket almost opposite and there is a small supermarket, bakery, newsagents, tobacconists and several bar restaurants within walking distance.
You can go for a beautiful walk along the beach side promenade to Torre del Mar - around 15 mins walk.
The street market is on Saturday morning , you can find everything from local crafts to fresh fruit and vegetables.

Velez Malaga & Torre del Mar:
Torre del Mar is a much larger resort with entertainment for all ages. It is reached by walking approx 15 mins along the beach side walkway or is a 5 min drive. Enjoy beach side bar/restaurants serving fresh fish & seafood. Apart from Spanish restaurants, you can also find Indian, Mexican, Thai, Chinese restaurants.
There is a good street market on Thursday.

You can hire a bycicle or go karting. The waterpark Aquavelis is is also open in July/August. Nearby there is a Mercadona supermarket.

Velez Malaga has a large modern shopping centre with boutiques, huge Eroski supermarket and multi cinema complex. It is about 5 mins drive from the apartment.
You also have Aldi supermarket, right opposite apartment block. Mercadona, Lidl, a 5 min drive.

Exploring Andalucia:
Caleta De Velez
Is a central coastal base from which to visit the most popular sights of Andalucia. Granada and the Alhambra Palace are a must see day trip, with the Sierra Nevada ski resort a short drive from Granada city centre.

Malaga
The city cente is exciting, cultural and has great shopping and tapas bars! Visit the castle and the Picasso museum.

Nerja has great beaches and famous caves - just a short drive.

A good motorway network connects Malaga to Antequera, Cordoba and Seville; for those wanting to travel a little further. Marbella & Pueto Banus, to the West of Malaga, is also a fun day trip.

N.B. There is a good and inexpensive bus service operating both East & West from the apartment. Visit both Malaga & Nerja without needing to take the car.

The apartment was not in the block shown in the VRBO online description. We know the area well and would not have booked had we known which block it was in. Whilst the apartment was clean and the owner pleasant enough, it was very poorly furnished and equipped and many drawers and cupboards filled with owner’s possessions. The shower was blocked and the toilet seat dangerously loose. (Both fixed quickly by the owner). Towels were of poor quality. Two days after our arrival my wife dislocated her hip and was hospitalised. The seating in the lounge was too low for anyone who had had a hip dislocation so we had to move out. The owner was sympathetic but would not refund anything. We had a weeks hotel bill and two months additional rent at different apartment. Disappointing!

We have stayed here several times and will be back as soon as possible. My wife and I are both in our seventies and there is plenty to do and see. We always hire a car so we can get out and about. One slight hiccup we arrived later than anticipated, no problem the lady with the key sat and waited. We had her contact number, easy. Our fault

Relaxing week
The apartment had everything we needed and was close to the beach and one in particular good restaurant "Eclipse". We used the bus which was very cheap and regular taking the coastal route to Nerja. On the down side the sea view was very limited and the apartment is next to a busy road but once the doors were closed you couldn't hear the traffic too much. The owner was very pleasant and always at the end of the phone if any difficulties did arise - thankfully none did!

Budget should not mean dirty! Grubby and very dated.
The location is the only good point this property has to offer. It is, as described by a previous reviewer overlooking shop rooves and only a view of the sea on your tippy toes. However, the dirty dish cloths, stained and unwashed duvets/pillows, greasy presses and rusty fridge are not acceptable. We could cope with the really old furniture but not with the dirt! I washed a throw from the bedroom to put on the sofa so we could sit on it. We did not sit on the grubby chair. I washed all the dishes we required and stuck with those for our stay. I also washed the duvet cover ( having seen the dirt of the duvet) and only used this for holiday. I discarded the duvet and pillows that have most definitely not been cleaned for several years. The press under the sink housed a multitude of used and dirty dish cloths and old paint tins. When I moved the bin several cockroaches ran out. The toaster was so dirty the grease smoked when I turned it on. The owner was arrogant from the start and only after clarification of payment from a very friendly Home Away staff member, did I continue with the booking. Communication was then done through another more patronising woman? (I dont need to be told at 60 years of age to "bring your own" pool towels). We were met by a third person with the key , a very kind, rather embarressed lady who explained that she did not do the cleaning, (she agreed to meet us early although the owner had said it was not possible?). This is my first time to use this site and while contact directly with them was efficient and helpful they need to make sure information on your account is correct e.g. account paid, when it is not. Home Away need also to have a hygiene check to ensure a basic standard of cleanliness. The owner said he was away during our stay so there was no point in contacting him. I have travelled to over 28 countries and stayed in accommodation including hostels, mobile homes and even tents, this has been the dirtiest! 2 stars for location.

Wonderful
We stayed in this lovely one bedroomed apartment for a month and it had everything we needed even dominoes to play in the evening! Easy to walk to nearby restaurants, bars and beach or catch the bus outside and travel up and down the coast visiting the many villages. The apartment is very well equipped and it feels like home. No hesitation in recommending the property and area. Many thanks for letting us stay!!

Nice apartment and great location.
Owners were there to welcome us and show where everything was, nice touch. Apartment has everything you would need. Only 2 min walk to the beach , bars and Aldi . Would recommend it to anyone.
