Be aware there is no front desk. Any interaction came from housekeeping. The only confusing experience was the check in with no front desk. Very clean room and very convenient location

Convenient Spot to Stay in Venice
We stayed with Locanda Herion mid October and found the location convenient and the accommodations comfortable. It was strange to never have seen a hotel employee at all during our stay but I understand this is the way some properties are going. It didn't cause us too much trouble. The only problem was some confusion with the checkin instructions. The instructions I was originally sent referred to a door that is not used in the "winter" (I didn't realize it was winter), The codes for the door in use and for our suite I had to manually request on the day of arrival. Other than that the directions to find the property from the train station were perfect. We would stay here again if we returned.

Booked as a guest so hotels.com couldn't help with problems. Best way is by water taxi from airport. Appartement didnt send key code entries until the day which i found a nightmare. This was via whats app due to no reception desk. Room was lovely comfortable beds small bathroom. Shame no tea coffee in the room . This was downstairs with disposable cups and no milk. Beware to work your tourist tax out on the main web page as they tried to charge me more. Over all i would stay here again even tho it is a fare walk to other areas of interests

5 stars WITH HEAVY RESERVATIONS. FIRST AND FOREMOST: download whatsapp before you stay here. We waited an hour in the rain for information to access the building but could not get a hold of anyone because of our US phone service until another guest helped us out and god bless her for doing so. She showed us to contact the peraon through whatsapp and aa soon as I got a hold of someone we were immediately in. The room was wonderful, the location was great, it was a perfect stay after the initial hiccup which may have been a random hiccup. So I repeat: download whatsapp because that's how we got a hold of someone quickly.

The location is nice. Very close to a main street and 2 minute walk to water transportation. There are two mobile cell phone shops very close. Two cafes and pizzerias. Backyard terrace is nice but they need to fix the lighting as it was flashing uncomfortably so I would recommend eating breakfast in the terrace in the day time until they fix it. They have luggage storage which was very useful on our last day so we can do activities after checkout. Overall a pleasant experience experience.

Great stay right in the heart of Venice. As others have stated, the check in process can be a bit cumbersome, but just make sure you fill out all of information that they request before you get there. And also whatsapp is the best way to communicate with them. The room was comfy, very clean, and had everything we needed. The housekeepers that we met were very friendly, helpful, and eager to answer any questions that we had. Do yourself a favor to get away from the big crowds and spend some time in Cannareggio. Great food choices and more locals than tourists. Locanda Herion was a great stay!

Pleasant hotel, great location.
Great location as it’s only a 15 minute walk to the main tourist attractions i.e. Rialto Bridge, St Marc’s Square etc… It is only 10 minutes walk from the bus station so no need for water taxi’s when arriving from the airport. Our room (2B) was in good condition with a comfortable bed. Good air con and good wifi. We definitely recommend this hotel, would stay there again.

Right near the Train station. Walkable distance to many spot through Venice. The check in was to be done by yourself as the staff sends the codes to enter the building and the room by yourself. The staff was very helpful during check in as I didn’t get the code from the Hotel app itself. Nevertheless, amazing room. Very comfortable as there was AC as it was extremely hot outside. Definitely would book this hotel again.

Hotel was fantastic with a bigger room than expected. The airon was great. Its the first hotel in europe we have stayed in without a winter dovet on tgebed. However, the shower was tiny.

The overall experience at this property was okay, cleanliness and comfort were not an issue. Communication with the property and gaining access information to get into the property was an issue. Through luck and guesswork I contacted the property via WhatsApp to gain access codes (FUTURE GUESTS TAKE NOTE), the property doesn’t reply to emails in a timely fashion and calling the property leads to an Italian voicemail/ answer machine:

The self check-in system on this hotel is so inconvenient. I did not receive an email about the building/room code until I had ask a cleaning lady after 2 hours of waiting. I emailed the hotel and received a follow up after 3 hours and was told the email was sent, I just didn’t receive it. They never apologized, and they obviously lack a simple communication skill by making me sound like I am the dumb one here for not checking the email. I checked at least 6 times before I emailed them. The cleaning lady was really nice and helpful and the room AC was satisfying.

A lovely apartment style setting with the stylish bathroom being downstairs and a very boutique style property. Very clean and bottled water provided. Wi-Fi was good. Have to park car over the river and got the water taxi and a short walk to get to property.

Charming Stay in Venice
We had a lovely experience. We bumped into a staff member when we arrived, and they were very welcoming and helpful. We got there early so we were just going to store our luggage, but the room was ready so they went ahead and gave us the code to get in. The room was clean and modern. Nothing luxurious but adequately furnished. The hotel area in general was quite charming. When we booked the room (through hotels.com) we got two somewhat confusing emails about contacting the hotel later to confirm our stay, and needing to fill out a form that would be sent. We didn’t get a form, and we were without internet a couple days prior to arriving. But I emailed the hotel the day before our stay and thankfully they responded pretty quickly, sent me the info, and everything was fine.

Perfect spot for a few nights!
We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our ‘touring around Italy’ trip and had a very pleasant stay. The staff were very attentive before we arrived on WhatsApp keeping us up to date and providing helpful check in information. Upon arrival we found an easy to find location with plenty to do around, also it’s less than a 5 min walk from the water bus station! The room itself had everything we could possibly need with a relatively comfy fold out bed, fully stocked bathroom with a wet room shower and a safe to store valuables. The few interactions we had with staff at the location were excellent and the cleaning staff were super helpful and so nice! Next time we’re in Venice we will definitely be back!

It worked for us because is a 10’ walk to the train station. We only stayed for 1 night and were able to store our luggage while visiting the city and them pick it up on our way to the station, so super convenient. Just know that there’s steep stairs to get to the room and you need to carry your luggage

This hotel is great and quite well hidden away from the hustle and bustle of Venice. A lot of people in reviews conplained about checkin however - if you follow the instructions emailed by the hotel you will do just fine. While they do not have a reception desk, they do answer their WhatsApp messages and their communication is great. Make sure to do the pre check-in!

This place was great! We easily found it with gps and the owner sent over all our information for the stay that morning. The room was spacious and clean, the bathroom was spotless. It is all stairs no elevator, it wasn’t a problem for us but something to keep in mind if it is for you. It’s right next to a water taxi stop but is also walkable to so many other areas. The walls are pretty thin but again we didn’t mind but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re a light sleeper. I will say we did attempt to communicate with The host for information on how to get to the airport and received no answer but we figured it out with google.
