I adored the old school feel of the inn and that everything within the building was visually appealing, clean and well maintained. Our room was clean, bright, warm and cozy. There isnt much for sound proofing but that is to be expected in an older Inn. The staff were very welcoming and professional. I would stay here again!

Arbutus was really great for what I needed. Close to the DT area, clean and everyone was really nice and helpful. The only downside was the homeless ppl around it that even tho is not their fault it made it difficult for me to feel comfortable walking around

My room was unbearably warm in the middle of April when it was chilly outside! I had the window wide open so that I could try and get some sleep. I tried the air conditioner, but it was so loud as there was an issue with the fan or something inside of it. In the early morning and employee went outside and had a cigarette right outside my window, which disturbed me and pissed me off. I will never stay there again.

We have stayed here on a few occasions and have found the place to always be clean, quiet as well, the staff is very friendly. It is also within walking distance to various shops.

Clean and renovated rooms with comfortable beds and good black out curtains. The bath mat and a face cloth were folded into a fancy design. There is no elevator, but rooms on second floor don’t need stairs access from front lobby. The stairs themselves aren’t an issue, but if you can’t do stairs, maybe a note to add when booking. It’s a basic and practical hotel. The rooms are cozy and the surrounding neighborhood was very quiet. We slept with the window open to get a nice breeze and slept soundly with no disruptive noises from the nearby semi busy road. This road is on the far side of a parking lot for rental vehicles. The staff were friendly, efficient and courteous. There is a rental car agency desk in lobby. We enjoyed our stay. A nice place to lay our head after running around Victoria and surrounding areas during the day.
