Be prepared to bring ALL of your own amenities including your own towels, soap/shampoo, flat sheet, hair dryer, coffee maker, cooking tools (there is no stove/oven, only a microwave), dishes/utensils (if need more than three sets of utensils, three plates and two mugs), paper towels, toilet paper (if need more than one roll)."

"Great and quiet location. Easy access to public transportation. The place is clean, communication with manager is easy and prompt. I'd suggest a little more warmth to the home, such as rugs, mirrors, plants as well as more hangers and benches in the bedrooms so we can place clothes and miscellaneous stuff at an easy reach! Also, the description says there's a futon couch in the living room, but actually it is just a sectional couch with unremovable cushions, which isn't perfect for comfort....

"If you enjoy the real experience of a new place like I do then this is the place for your stay. Modest but well stocked with everything you will need and in a great location to get a real feel for the city. 5 stars and highly recommended for your Oakland Experience! Walking distance from pretty much anything you will need and not too far from the ferry landing if you want to bump over to SF for the day. The one minor extra I requested was granted quickly and graciously and I will definitely stay...

Check in went smooth, host was easily accessible if needed and the home felt safe and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. We had a great trip to San Francisco! "I didn't arrive to the property until after 8pm. Being able to park in the tiny driveway was nice. The instructions were very clear, which was a plus. Once inside everything was as it appears in the photos. Note that check-in time is an hour later and check-out is an hour earlier than most places. My only real issue was that I was charged for the full rate at booking, and two days before my arrival a pre-authorization hold for more than the rental fees was made as well."
