"Lovely place to stay. Great hosts, really friendly and very helpful. Fernleigh is on a nice quiet street. A couple of good pubs just round the corner. The owners even mòved their car so we could tuck our motorbike on the drive. Would recommend without question. Oh,and a first class breakfast with proper tea!"

Good location for the train station 🙂 Liked the pack in the room with the story of Beggar's Bridge, we had a walk down to it after a delicious breakfast and ended up carrying along through the woods. "The property is really nicely done up and the folk who run it are charming. The local shops (within 50 yards) are superb and we enjoyed getting bread and meat from them for going home! The local pub was an excellent place to dine!"

"This was our second visit to this b and b. Lee and Gwen have invested a lot of time, effort and money into their business and it shows. Everything is spot on! Comfortable, spotlessly clean rooms, beautifully cooked breakfast with quality local ingredients. What's not to like."

"A nice place in a great location just a 5 minute walk from Grosmont Station. Its not a modern hotel, and rooms are not soundproofed so you can expect to overhear other guests coming and going. The showers are difficult to set to the right heat and are affected by other people using water. A bit of modernisation would help. Decor in room dated and could do with refreshing but otherwise, a nice friendly place to spend a few nights. "

"Requested parking and Luckily managed to secure a parking space outside the guest house and Phil gave me a parking permit for our full stay. The room was big, clean and comfortable with sofa to relax on, ensuit with shower and lovely soft towels. Teas, coffee and hot chocolate, bisuits and chocolate daily in room. The breakfast was lovely and the full english was huge, cereal, yogurt and fruit availble. We had a lovely stay and would return when in Whitby "

"Bed wasn't very comfortable. Tv only had very basic stations could do with a upgrade or at least be able to connect phone to it. Shower wouldn't go above luke warm. Overall though was decent."
