Hotel cleanliness generally very good, only let down by toilet. Ideal location for walking to ski lifts (approx. 15 - 20 mins). Breakfast was really nice and the staff everywhere were very polite and helpful

Buffet breakfast was very good. Cooked food was hot, choice of food was extensive and excellent quality Good gym which I had to myself Receptionist very helpful A bit noisy at times as lift was being renovated

Average but acceptable.
This is quite an old hotel but still acceptable. Single beds are very small rooms small no frills. The breakfast choice was fairly decent but the eggs and bacon coolish all three mornings. Staff friendly. Would have expected more for this price. Good location for skiing

Room was OK. Hotell seemed to be fully booked the night we were there, so they had big problems handling the breakfast with all the people trying to handle the covid 19 distance etc. Big chaos in the breakfast room

overall an Ok experience, although we have stayed there before and they used to have a lot more activities for kids, this time they only had some games and nothing else. A bit disappointed over it.

Scandic Hafjell's staff was helpful beyond expectations... especially Amanda at the front desk. She went out of her way to get information for us about the bobsled track nearby and answered questions about exchanging currency, which we ultimately didn't do since everyone accepted credit cards. The included breakfast had so many options that we weren't bored with it even after 9 meals. And they packed us a breakfast for our early morning departure. The hotel lobby was a comfortable area to relax outside of our room. The location is excellent, just a short (20 minute) drive to Lillehammer and extremely close to the Hafjell ski resort. And it was about a 45 minute drive to Kvitfjell ski resort. The only thing negative aspect of the room is that it was a bit tight and didn't have a dresser, so we were living out of a small closet and our suitcases for our stay. But I will be highly recommending the hotel to friends and family.

Everything worked and was fine. There's a theme park nearby so there were many young families with excited children.

Excellent but tiny rooms
The hotel is really great when you have kids, lots of activities and stuff happening. On the other hand, family rooms are tiny but with great beds. If the rooms were a bit bigger it would have been perfect.

Checking we got a room with two twin beds instead of the double bed requested and shown on Hotels.com website reservation conformation. They claimed twins were what was booked and on their reservation. Beds in Europe leave a lot to be desired and theirs was no exception. Basically a futon on top of box springs. Room like most in Europe was also small. But nice heated bathroom floor. No real room for luggage to go. Morning Breakfast was great with a wide selection available and hours were good. Wi-Fi was spotty at best with recurring connections and signing up needed. Resulted in extra cell phone charges when we didn't realize we were disconnected from Wi-Fi.

Good hotel close to parks
The hotel had decent decor that can be updated but it's well kept and still cozy. The breakfast was very good and the location was close to nature.

Lovely, child friendly hotel close to slopes
Really cozy hotel for the grown-ups, and very child friendly for the kids with plenty of space to play. Nice swimming pool for the kids and toasty sauna for for the parents. Cozy lobby with fire place and free coffee/teas. Free breakfast buffet has loads to pick from, and while dinner is a bit pricey, it was the most delicious meal I had in Hafjell. There is a Boots pharmacy, Spar supermarket and pizzeria (with children’s play area) right across the street.

Good hotel 20 mins walk from ski piste
Room size Ok for 2, 3 at a squeeze with pull out bed. Water, tea and coffee available in communal areas. 2 computers and printer available for guests (remember to clear the browser cache after use). Free wifi available in hotel. Free parking, close to supermarket and restaurants. Noise from main highway E6 not intrusive.

A little disappointef
Family trip with our six month old son. Room was ok, but pillows were horrible and shower not so clean. Booked a superior room, but definitely not enough space. Ate dinner at the restaurant which only had a christmas buffet to choose from. Unless you eat a lot, it was really not good value for money, as the food was so-so.

Decent, probably more ideally situated in winter
Visited in fall so Oyer was a little quiet and the bus to Lillehammer (16km away) only departed every hour so it’s not the most convenient. Thankfully we had a car so it wasn’t a big deal driving for meals or to walk around Lillehammer. The hotel itself was good, though I suspect it was being run by a skeleton crew due to the off-season. Nothing really stood out, including any major bummers..

Decent place and price
Went for skiing in Hafjell, over night stay, clean, close to slopes, pool with sauna, good breakfast, friendly service. Wifi was ok. Overall a highly recommendable place for decent price and like to visit again. (Note: Booking of 3 or 4 single beds in a room you will get 2 twin beds with additional sofa beds)
