"Great comfortable stay. Staff all helpful and friendly when needed. Did not eat breakfast so cannot comment. Location is great to get around. Only used this hotel for the Brixton Disco Festival. Parking is literally a 3 minute walk, safe and secure. No fridge in room but could be down to booking standard room. Lovely space in room"

"The hotel is great. A little further down from the business of the waterfront. The bar and communal areas are great. The only negative is car parking there is probably only room for 15 cars and no deals on local car parks. This added another £60 to the stay. "

"Hotel was clean and tidy, staff were so friendly! Nothing was too much trouble for them at any time of the day or night. Stunning setting next to the derby and very quiet. Buffet breakfast was lovely, huge and plenty of choice. Fresh and constantly being restocked. Will definitely be back!"

"We loved how close the hotel was to the World of Adventure theme park. It was amazing to leave the theme park and instantly be at our hotel. We also loved the customer service we received from the front desk staff and breakfast manager. Our 10 year old daughter was sick for 2 days and they were caring, accommodating and helpful when we explained the situation. The front desk receptionist was also very helpful with directions and bus/train schedules to London and the airport. "

"We had a two night stay at The Birch. The staff were friendly, room clean but close to busy road with a lot of traffic. We had a meal on the first night. It was excellent. Very well cooked and tasty. It is an old hotel that has been well updated. I would recommend it."
