"Very comfortable bed, peace and quiet in the room, very convenient for Thameslink train - literally opposite the entrance. Quibbles - would it have killed you to put a chair in the room. An average height person cannot sit upright on the edge of the bed Also - to reach the toilet paper from the toilet one would have to be a contortionist."

"I was in a room in the old part of the hotel it had a lot of character was clean with a walk in shower. Staff were pleasant and friendly, location was great and the lowest price for a room in Tonbridge. I would stay there again."

Only slight negatives were the shower and wash basin were tiny (- it would be really helpful to have shelves in the en-suite) and the shower drain is beginning to show its age. All a bit dated. "the hotel was beautiful, lovely room and amazing bathroom. parking was difficult, the hotel us on a main road so nowhere to unload. nearest parking is above a shopping mall opposite that seems to have a million exits, i was directed to the wrong one but some not very helpful locals. i had 3 heavy bags so it took the shine off the stay somewhat. also the hotel has no staff on site so everything is keyless. weird but functional but they are available on text message and phone. there’s no food...

"Great food, great atmosphere, suitable location, ideal hotel for having your dog stay. Based on the age of the property, the upkeep of maintenance seems to be important to them. Stairs a little steep but plenty of character in the hotel and rooms. Great value for money."
