"The staff were very friendly, especially Lucas and Millie. Lucas works long hours and nothing was too much trouble for him - he always went the extra mile to satisfy us. The food was excellent, both from the dinner and breakfast menus. The location and surroundings were superb. Just one thing I think could be improved. There is no front desk overnight and they provide a mobile number in case of an emergency. The trouble is that there is no landline and the mobile signal was non-existent most of...

"I must say the size of our suite was impressive. What was more impressive was the cleanliness of the room. Our super king size bed had a supremely comfortable mattress, the room came with a small kitchenette area which we didn't use and plenty of tea and coffee etc and the muffins were a bonus. The bathroom was large and spotless with a great walk-in shower. Towels were fluffy and soft. Sleep quality brilliant and we would recommend this property "

"Arrived late evening just in time for delicious meal of fresh salad starter followed by beef stroganoff, excellently presented, served, and was delicious. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and early morning shower was the best power shower I've experienced, an excellent start to the day, followed by an well presented and deliciously cooked full English breakfast. Couldn't ask for more!!"

"Very friendly and welcoming staff. No lift so be aware of this if you have disability needs you'd best request ground floor. Parking plentiful. Overall it's a charming example of a hotel which still has character...no key cards here!"

"Overall great stay - it's a lovely location and food is splendid. But we did request to move room after first night due to the noise of a boiler attached to other side of the wall in room 1. The manager made this move very easy, but of course it would be a different story if they had been fully booked."

"When it was sleep time if felt there was far too much light in the room as there was really bright led lights on the exterior wall outside. The floor was very unevean in bedroom. Very noisy at night as its a high street location. Secondary glazing would have been useful "

"A really convenient hotel, and the parking was a real bonus that was just outside the back entrance of the hotel. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the hotel was located close to shopping and restaurants. The food menu choice was limited but the pie options on the menu were delicious. "
