"The stay was nice, older room that had a few quirky features. The location was great and staff was very friendly. Difficult to take a shower the way the shower head was facing, but it is an old building. The pillows were unusable, they were gigantic."

"This was a very basic "hotel". The first room I was put in was pretty bad and looked as though it had not been decorated since the 1980's. There are not blackout curtains on any of the windows so be prepared to have the sun come blasting in at 6 AM. The beds feels like something you would have slept on in sleep away camp when you were a child. I was so disappointed with my room that I begged to be moved to anything better the second and remaining nights. They moved me to a "comfort" room which...

"We were looking to visit the Appenzell/St. Gallen region, combined with a visit at the Säntispark for the kids. Couldn’t pick a better place - the water park entrance is included in the room price and you get your bracelets at the hotel - no line up! Great breakfast and great service. "

"Impressive hotel. Great location. Excellent car park. Superb breakfast. Took a room in the villa which was very comfortable. Only odd thing was, the external door doesn't appear secure. We were woken by a woman shouting at our door at 05.30. Hotel were totally unbothered by this & told us to call the police! Don't book the villa if you are woman travelling alone."
