"We had a lot of luggage and needed a friend to come up to help us get it downstairs. He called me and said that they refused to let him up. This was the 4th time and all of a sudden he was forbidden. In the end he cam upstairs, it didn't even take 5 minutes. Such a crazy rule. Other than that the stay was fine. We really liked the option to hire bikes directly from the hotel. Small negatives were the loud noises from motorbikes outside the hotel and poor drainage leading to unpleasant smells inside the bathroom during the evening. "This was a great home-base for our short stay in Utrecht. It’s close to the train station (pro tip: you can cut through the mall instead of walking all the way around the block!), and we had the most amazing meal ever at SMAAK, which is conveniently situated in the alleyway directly behind the hotel. There’s a Starbucks right next door and a grocery store nearby, and it’s within walking distance of the canal district with all its shops and restaurants, and there’s a bike rental shop close by...

"Lovely hotel, staff very efficient and good at what they do. Breakfast was lovely as well. However the hot tub, sauna etc wasn't available outside of the hours 7-10 in the morning. Granted the hotel is mainly for business people so wouldn't have expected the leisure facilities to be open in the middle od the day. However i would have expected them to be open in the evening, more so than between 8:30 & 10 in the morning."
