"Lovely large room but disappointed about the size of the small double bed. Room was also very hot in the mornings. Tea and coffee refreshments were not topped up during our stay. Apart from the above comments a lovely hotel with lots of character."

"Had to move rooms once as no TV 2nd room, wrapper found in room on radiator so unconvinced on level of clean. No headboard on the bed so sat up against the wall with the one pillow available Earliest breakfast 08:00 so despite paying with the booking was unable to get food before having to leave for work. "

"The lady on reception upgraded me to a King room from a Queen. Very friendly, arranged a taxi for me, as due to the local council Uber's don't go from there. Room service was good, food lovely. Breakfast, great selection & the lady & gentleman there today were very welcoming. The gentleman in a very smart suit was old school, I hope he doesn't mind me saying that but he was full of the traditional values of the hotel, he has worked there for 40 years. Will be back thank you."
