"The hotel staff are really helpful. The man behind the desk gave us a friendly welcome and provided us with a map to show the route to the Eurotunnel terminal. The room was immaculate and provided everything you could want for a stopover. The only downside iwas that the bed was rather hard and uncomfortable for those who are used to soft mattresses. Full English breakfast was tasty and good value."

However, 3x issues really: 1. the TV didn't work very well - aerial didn't function properly so signal & picture/sound kept cutting out; 2. bathroom door didn't shut fully; and lastly, 3. single-glazed windows meant noise from the road outside was loud. "The hotel was great, the room was large with a great view of the grounds and lake, even had a hot air balloon experience taking off from the grounds which was brilliant to see, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options and was good quality, nice bar area including outdoor seating. hotel was in a great location with leeds castle very close by and multiple country pubs within a 10 minute drive"
