"Great hotel to make the most of a short break to Amsterdam"

"We were travelling up the coast road and the location suited us. It is a little remote, but set along a nice piece of coast. We had a two room apartment which was excellent. Both dinner and breakfast we good. The staff on Reception and in the restaurant were very helpful. "

"Lovely hotel in fantastic location. All staff were very friendly and professional, nothing was too much trouble. Our canal view room was worth the extra expense and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Bathroom was newly refurbished and very modern. Food was of good quality at breakfast and one dinner in the restaurant, if a little on the expensive side. Would definitely stay at the Ambassade Hotel again. Thank you for a very enjoyable and relaxing stay."

"Great food at a low price! The staff are all warm and welcoming especially waiter Marcel who was friendly, polite and knowledgeable! The hotel room was very small, the pillows were terrible, we ran out of loo roll in the second day! There were only enough toiletries for one person and the iron didn't take a single crease out of my clothes! The room was quiet except for the hour when the church chimed! Parking is like a max 7 minutes walk so don't pay for it! We were advised it was 15-20 minutes...

No one advised this nor is it mentioned in the property details. They called me a taxi. I stayed in apartment 540-1. It was in poor condition. The carpet was OLD, stained and smelly. "Rooms need an upgrade Asked for an iron and was told to come get it . Tried to book a wake up call , was told no and that I should set an alarm on my phone. Simple things that can make a difference "
