Staying at a location like this really made a once in a lifetime trip even more special. Clean. Tastefully decorated. Came with all of the amenities you can need—and the location was so nice. Managing to be nestled between old town and new town—a quiet space overlooking a gorgeous garden. Close to shops and some incredible dining—and truly steps away from public transit. The staff were always friendly and engaging and prompt in assisting with any of our needs. We will absolutely keep Sonder on our radar for any of our future travels no matter the location. The attention to detail and friendly service goes such a long way.

Great location and very close to the train station. Friendly staff and were very attentive when the sink broke to help to solve the problem. The rooms are really big and have great amenities and quiet! Would recommend staying if we went to Edinburgh again

I really enjoyed my stay at Sonder Royal Garden. Quiet, safe and within walking distance to restaurants, shops, Old Town Edinburgh, and Waverley Train Station. Staff were also super friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Very clean and professional, but the appliances were all confusing to use, and I didn't know that I had to look for an instructions in the app. Made things challenging when the other people I was staying with were senior citizens. Otherwise, most other aspects of the property were great.

The whole process was seamless - from leaving our bags in the lockers and checking in, to the stay itself. Central being an understatement - with walkable distance to every single thing you would want to visit in Edinburgh, comfortable and more than spacious for a three night stay and a fair price to boot - I’d highly recommend it.

Lovely apartment with a great location
Really great location that is close to the city centre and a tram stop direct from the airport which was really convenient. The place itself was well presented and clean, with a well equipped kitchen and good selection of provided amenities. The staff were great and helped with an issue we had with the door latching - although we arrived late and no one was in reception, through the app the problem was resolved within 20 mins or so. Overall a great stay - will be using them next time we’re in Edinburgh!

The apartment was perfect. The instructions to get in were easy no line to wait in to get thru check in. I will use Sonder app directly from now on whatever city I'm in if they have apartments. We also lived the self service pantry to refresh items during the stay. I mean it was the experience of having your own flat in the city. This particular spot did have some noise from the road/ sidewalk but your in a prime city location so there will be hussle and bussle. We walked everywhere and grocery stores was close buy.

The location and cleaness were very good. The room was spacious enough. But the handle of the washing machine in the room was broken, and I contacted them, but they couldn't help me. Therefore, we were in trouble because we could not do laundry.

Super location paired with comfort.
Conveniently located to actively participate in the Festivals while being a quiet and peaceful retreat from the center of the action. The staff were incredibly helpful on the ground and the communications in advance about check in was remarkably clear. We would stay here and try other Sonder properties again in the future.

This was a nice apartment. Very convenient, clean and we were able to cook. One challenge we had was that the boiler was temperamental resulting in no hot water for bathing. This happened twice. It was a simple fix if you know how but the remote staff was unaware of how to fix.

Spacious, clean and well equipped apt in excellent location. The front desk staff is extremely kind and helpful. Coffee & tea supplies stocks kept in lobby which is very convenient. Location is perfect for boarding airport tram in St Andrews Square and close to many restaurants. Don't miss the Portrait Gallery across the street, an incrediby beautiful building.

Wonderful lodgings in a great location.
Loved this apartment hotel. So clean! Location an easy walk to just about any of the important sites in Edinburgh with the wonderful Portrait Museum directly across the street. We had a car but didn't need it as the very easy direct tram from the airport drops you just two blocks away. Might recommend asking for a room off the street as it was a little noisy but I think that was more because they are working on the road by it at the moment. Loved having laundry facilities in the unit and two bedrooms so we weren't falling on top of each other. Highly recommend.
