"I thought this might be a downgrade from the main hotel but this was not the case. Apartment was well designed with all the features one might expect. Breakfast was outstanding. All staff were very welcoming and friendly. Only one suggestion. The power plug outlets could use some instructions as they are not the typical simple plug in types. You need to play around with it to fit the two prongs into the outlet."

"The beds are good. The street is calm. The staff is nice and speaks english atop of german. The Phantasia Land shuttle is near. The parking (10 euros per night) is not far, but is a bit difficult with 5 meters cars. There was no key for the bathroom, which is accessible from either two separate rooms, thus we had to make rules ( knock on door before entering the bathroom/toilet ). "Brilliant. Great, comfy room with a little seating area. Receptionist very helpful and recommended Petra's food and wine in town which was lovely food and atmosphere. Bus is about 3 mins easy walk and regular bus to town and to the train station. Comfy beds, great shower, plentiful and tasty breakfast. Totally recommend"

Friends traveling with us arriving separately where not so fortunate in locating the hotel. Also the entrance to the hotel is not on the address listed, its on a side street.. It is very confusing, especially in the dark. We had to call the hotel and ask someone to come out and guide us in to the hotel. it is hidden inside a gated area. "This quaint hotel is only a few doors down from the square where the market is. It is so convenient to access the square, the shops and all the restaurants. The hotel is very old and has a lot of character! We got our laundry done here and they had it back the same day! The restaurant is great, the goulash is delicious. The breakfast is well presented and there is lots to eat. The staff were very friendly. I would stay here again."

Arrived too late for an evening meal but based on how busy the eating areas were I would expect the food to be excellent too. A must stay if anywhere in the area. We drove from Colmar and was well worth the drive."

"The Gästehaus Sonnenwirth is a fully automated establishment and its checkin system is just the beginning of its problems. We’d prepaid through Expedia but the checkin software couldn’t find the booking. The entrance lobby holds two people and three’s a crowd - the automatic door kept opening and we were battered with rain and hail so we did not enjoy trying to solve the Sonnenwirth’s software problems. The Expedia contact number was answered once by a man who said,”You need to speak to my wife”...
