"Marie is a fabulous hostess! She was waiting for us outside in the back yard. She even helped unload and carry in the luggage. The room had an ensuite. It was very clean, quiet and comfortable. It is right off the road and so easy to find! The kitchen was well equipped. "

"The property was nestled in the lovely mountains of the Highlands. It was gorgeous. It was also a nice drive to and from the Isle of Skye area. The staff, in particular, were very knowledgeable, friendly and kind. They were hardworking and kept the place clean and tidy. Would highly recommend."

"Staff were friendly and helpful, location handy and beautiful, with red squirrels nearby and nesting house martins. My only suggestion would be that - as we should be reducing meat and dairy consumption for environmental reasons - vegetarian breakfast should be the norm."

"It was great. So much better than expected. Beware only three people can cook at a time as there is only three cookers. That said the kitchen is a very good size and generally well equipped. Good sized dinning room. Overall the centre is well equipped, serviced and friendly helpfull staff. Add to boot about a ten minute walk to the town for supplies etc."

"I had a two night stay at Glenbrittle while visiting Isle of Skye. The room was comfy enough (a little cramped for ten people), the bathrooms were nice and very clean, the common areas were well stocked and cozy. There's also a great waterfall right across the road from the hostel and plenty of sheep and lambs to watch in the evenings. "

"We stayed 4 nights in a private room. Overall, the hostel is spacious, clean, comfortable, and friendly. However, we did find the room really hot without much airflow. My only other complaint is that two nights we experienced issues with drunk adults. One of the adults was working the desk a few days later, which is not appropriate. These disturbances were not handled by the staff, which was unfortunate, as it disturbed the evening for all guests. "

"Parking was cash only but luckily had that on us but finding the parking was difficult due to construction. Then the small hike to the hostel from the temporary parking was a bit much with bags and over a fence. Service was nice, beds were not very comfortable "

"The host/hostess extremely friendly. The evening meals superb and took extra note of my diet requirements. My room was fine but no chair or place to hang damp towel to dry out. The room was in an annexe and I had to go outside to access all amenities - lounge, dining room, guests’ kitchen. No kettle in the room so this kitchen was essential for out of hours cuppa. Very minor complaints all forgiven due to service and meals."

"This was my first time staying in a hostel. It was very well set up. Easy to check in. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the facility. Our room was a bit noisy due to being beside the bathroom but they have rules to keep things quiet during night time hours. We just needed an area to sleep so we did not make use of the other parts of the facility but it looked very well maintained and the shared kitchen area looked very well organized. "As hostels go, it was fine. Plenty of space, a decent kitchen and dining area separate from a seating area. 20mins bus ride from town or £8.40 in a taxi isn’t ideal nor is the lack of a drying room. This last one would think a prerequisite given the location and clientele but apparently not."

"I booked a female dorm bed and it was coed, told that that allowed for more people to stay. Not on the website, not great, and one guy kept me awake all night with his snoring. The host there wasn't very friendly, either. Thankfully, the guests there were fun."
