"Air conditioning is very outdated and dusty leaving a strong smell in the room. The breakfast was pretty bad and barely edible in fairness. The only safe options are what were not cooked directly by staff. The hotel strength is its location and proximity to beach, center and transportation to portaventura Park. "Great stay breakfast was nice never had any of the hot food selection but they had a great selection of pastries and cakes. The roof top terrace was beautiful had great views of Salou beachfront and the jacuzzi tubs was a nice touch along side the sun loungers. "Lovely stay at the Golden Costa Salou. Nice touch was a glass of Prosecco on arrival and greeted by friendly receptionists. Room was spacious and had two balconies. Food was exceptional and much of it was cooked fresh in front of you. We stayed 4 nights, I think had it been longer the only criticism would have been the food is a little repetitive- maybe having a different ‘special’ each night would have mixed it up somewhat I.e we are in Spain but didn’t see Paella! The hot water in the shower...

Great budget hotel.
"The hotel was ideal for what I needed. Friendly and helpful staff. I know it is a basic hotel, however a kettle on the room would have been great. I am not a breakfast person until I have a coffee wake up. Also an extra couple of hangers would be great. Only had 3 in the wardrobe. It is ideally situated, with bars, cafes and a small supermarket around the corner."
