"Good hotel, might look dated in some aspects in the common area . The room I slept in seems to have been modernized but the tv system is cruelly small considering the distance from the beds. A better isolation from the pool section might be desired . Rooms 1,-5 are passing close to the pool section which leave a smell of chlorine when passing through much of the day."

"Lovely comfortable and clean rooms. The breakfast was great and the staff were all really friendly, informative and welcoming. Feel it is a little overpriced but Pitlochry itself is pretty pricey. It is a steep walk back up the hill from Pitlochry if you have walking difficulties. We would probably stay again though. "

The house was okay but would have benefited from the owners having been less defensive and having acted upon issues already raised by previous reviewers e.g. the mattresses/pillows were very uncomfortable, the tap in the upstairs toilet is very stiff and difficult to turn on or regulate the temperature, especially cold (even the caretaker couldn't sort out). "Fantastic setting. Accommodation ideal for a home from home experience. Some of the furnishings are looking tired however Chalet was spotlessly clean, plenty hot water and heating. So much wildlife to watch from dawn to dusk. Restaurant provides plenty options to please most people. "
