Our stay was very pleasant, the outstanding staff were in the Stags Head bar. The service was outstanding, friendly, knowledgeable and extremely careful of our comfort. Also special mention of the restaurant staff. Breakfast was a pleasure with very nice staff and excellent food.
Beautiful hotel in gorgeous grounds. Our room on the 3rd floor was really nicely decorated, very comfortable with good views. The selection at breakfast was top class too.

All old hotels creak and have cracks here and there but that's not a problem as it is the staff who make this a great place. They were so courteous and very friendly.

Check-in went well, staff helpful and friendly. Dead insect on window sill, but room appeared to be tidy, maybe empty for a while. Room has suitable, amenities, but dressing table mirror is too low to use, maybe a lower seat? One thing that was an issue was the heating, too warm even with radiators off and windows open.
Lovely hotel, staff and surroundings though
Amazing time, staff went out of their way to make our celebrations happy but to be fair, we celebrate here every year at this time and it is always fabulous… we upgraded our room this year to a superior double… even more luxury
Great variety of options at breakfast, something for everyone including any intolerances. Service was great in the bar and at breakfast - staff were very friendly and accommodating to our 3 year old. The room was good - decor fits the building - it's an older palace so don't expect modern room interiors, however the bathroom have been completely
Clean room. Small en suite. Not a lot of room at toilet area.noisy fan outside of bedroom window. Nice bar . Friendly staff. Great pool etc

It’s a grand property which was renovated 20 years ago and showing. The views are wonderful from the property and it’s convenient to Pitlochry. Unfortunately the breakfast and dinner are average and disappointing given the price.
An amazing place to stay with great history and even a hotel museum in the basement. Full size snooker table, its own pub, live music on a Friday, relaxing swimming pool.

Disliked: Staff & service
This hotel caters to bus tours… it’s an older crowd and rooms a bit dated. We were put in the basement due to a large tour. Food and drinks were good but overall inside sleepy.
Wonderful stay, thoroughly enjoyed the stay here during our trip. It was a highlight for me to be surrounded by the history and decor of the place. We enjoyed the food and everyone was very friendly
Loved this place. It’s like staying on a 21st century titanic but with out the fuss of icebergs and sinking. The view from our room was amazing. The grounds were beautiful and the staff were fantastic. We loved the little museum a fascinating insight into the history of the hotel.
Special mention to the staff behind the Stags head bar (x2 Australian lasses and 1 super happy lass from a Balkan country ❤️
Wonderful night's stay. Staff welcoming, food excellent, rooms clean, very comfortable and quaint. Loved the location and the beautiful gardens. Would love to come again for a longer stay.
