"No complaints about the hotel, except English lacking. My complaint was that I booked an extra room for my fiance's parents. When we arrived, we told the desk that unfortunately her parents were ill and couldn't make it. We asked for a refund, and was told NO. We asked if we could have the credit applied to our meals, and they said NO. So, it was not a nice goodwill gesture on their part. For this reason, I would NOT recommend the hotel."

"I would highly highly recommend booking the oasis when you are on Cat Ba island. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped us book excursions, transportion, and were readily available for communication on WhatsApp. Property is beautiful and in a wonderful location. You are close to all the restaurants nearby and staff will help guide you anywhere! If you decide to get a drink at Oasis bar 2, make sure to try a fun bucket!!! We were a little confused about the difference between oasis 1 and oasis 2. Oasis 1 is the restaurant and “club” (after 10 pm). It is a few minute walk from oasis 2. Oasis 2 has the rooms, bungalows, pool, and check in! "
