I booked through Expedia, paid the fees with a balance due at the property equal to the resort fees. Upon check in, I was required to provide a credit card and I was charged a damage deposit in an addition to the resort fee. I questioned this at check in and was told it was just a hold that would drop upon check out. Two days after check out, the amount went from a pending hold to a charge. I called the property and spoke to someone at the front desk as a manager was not available. I explained my situation and before I could finish she started talking over me, I asked her to allow me to finish with my concerns. She continued to talk over me stating they don’t do “holds” they charge the fee then make a refund, however she never let me further explain what I was told at check in. I did not appreciate the rude manner that she spoke and how she continued to talk over me after me asking a couple times to allow me to speak. I finally just hung up and plan to dispute the entire amount of this does not drop off as she indicated. All in all, there is nothing special about this property, it was a reservation made in a pinch but I am unlikely to stay again or recommend.
