"It was a nice place to stay within our budget! Judite was great and everything was clean, worked, and felt safe. Judite even accommodated out late arrival - 12:15 am! On the other side, we were aware there was no air conditioning but the apartment often got quite hot and muggy. While the parking was an excellent accommodation, it was quite a tight fit after a precarious drive uphill. All things considered, would absolutely book again!"

"We stayed for the first time on Madeira in Casa do Gabriel. We had a fantastic time. Madeira is beautiful with one week not being near enough to explore and do all the things Madeira offers. Our choice of Casa do Gabriel to stay in was an inspired choice. The house is fabulous, well equipped, comfortable, well located, private, clean, lovely hostess, fab garden with fruit we were allowed to pick! We loved everything about our accommodation and our stay in Madeira."

"Beautiful place, feels high-end for a very good price. Lovely breakfast and uninterrupted sea views. Rooms are modern, nicely furnished and very clean. Slightly out of the way so a car is essential, and like most of Madeira it’s on a hillside so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. "The most beautiful view we have ever had in a VRBO property! It would be hard to find another place in Madeira that could top this Villa. Clean, modern, great beds, and a wonderful pool, + the sunset. Alfredo + Celia were great hosts! "What an awesome stay! The place is nestled in the mountains a few km above Sao Vicente. You’ll need wheels! It is a typical village surrounded by locals - not a tourist in site. The perfect getaway! The property itself was great. Obviously lived in, so you’re in somebody’s actual house rather than a faceless rental. Everything you need is there to cook, clean and sleep soundly. "Great place to watch the sunset from a shared deck while having dinner. Double check if the jacuzzi is in working condition, it was off due to covid measures during my stay. wifi was not available as described, however there was signal for vodafone data. The host sends you GPS coordinates to find the location in a welcome message. If you are driving uphill to reach what looks like a shed at the GPS cooridnates, walk back downhill a few meters to find stairs going down towards the house."

"This apartment is in an ideal location to enjoy all the splendor that Madeira has to offer. Just a few minutes walk from the center of Funchal. We hired a motorbike and parking outside was not a problem. Kitchen was very well equipped, so easy to prepare all the delicious fresh produce from the market and enjoy from the balcony overlooking the port."

Ik had via de website gevraagd of zwbad verwarmd kon worden ivm verblijf begin januari, daar geen reactie op gekrege . We hebben dus wel.wat gezwommen maar hadden het meer willen doen. Dat was erg jammer! Wel theedoeken en keukendoeken gemist. En nieuwe vuiliszakken die passen. Verder niets aan te merken!"

Next to nice seaside resorts (Punta Gorda, Lido) and great walks, not far from the bus and supermarkets.
