"This is a great place to stay! It was a last minute booking for us and we wanted a nice quiet, quant little place to stay, and the Cross Inn delivered all of that and more. The Barn Bar in the back was great, and the food is amazing. The staff are great and the owner is great host and makes sure all the details are up to standard!!! "

"This was a comfortable, roomy cottage. We used it as a home base for exploring the Isles of Harris and Lewis. The owners were friendly and very responsive. This is still one of the spots we rave about after our trip. There is a great little coffee/tea/shop just at the end of the drive with a friendly proprietor and even friendlier doggo. "

"We absolutely loved the County Hotel. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring Stornoway which is a small and walkable town. The staff were extremely kind, courteous and helpful - really friendly and full of excellent advice, going the extra mile. Sunday in Stornoway is very special and there is not much open but the hotel continued to provide breakfast and refreshments throughout the day and facilities for having a take away as well as advice where to find one. There were alternative venues for dinner nearby and we were pleased to see the staff get a rest on the all important Lord's Day. Parking is one issue as it is not clear if parking restrictions will be enforced on the street and there is only a small car park. While it is possible to have a car and stay at this hotel, it is probably most convenient for foot passengers. "
