The property is pretty far from most amenities, it feels quite remote. Our first impression upon arrival wasn't great. We got there about an hour before check-in time as we'd been up very early for the ferry not long after arriving in Scotland from Canada and our 3 year old was tired. We were hoping for a chance of getting checked in a little bit early. The 'welcome' we got was not nice, it was just rude and abrupt and we were told it wasn't open (I think it was the owner). I can understand not being able to accommodate an early check-in but she was rude about it. After that we felt unwelcome there and the stay was awkward.

Such a beautiful, clean and bright room. Super comfy bed and lovely linens. Had everything I needed. The staff super helpful and friendly and the food in the restaurant was lovely. Highly recommend.
