"Matera is not the easiest place to get to in first place. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to change plans and arrived by coach bus instead of rental car. The hotel contacted us a couple days before our check in and once they learned about our change if plans, they helpfully pointed out to us that our bus station is actually quite a bit of distance from the hotel. "Great stay. Michael our host was super helpful guiding us there. Park outside Sissi and take the small red bus into town, 1.50 each get off at the last stop it’s 100 yards from there. Nice room with a view. Lots of stairs, that’s matera for you. The room was spacious but the bed was quite firm so keep that in mind. "
