The constant rain prevented us from fully enjoying the beautiful property and the pool as much as we would have liked it. It was very comfortable with 2 ensuite bedrooms and a large open plan kitchen diner / sitting room downstairs, which had everything you could wish for including a DVD player for the kids' siesta time! "This is a lovely old house with many original features which has been restored and modernised without losing any of its charm or character. The owner lives next door and is very welcoming and helpful but unobtrusive. We found the house spacious, well equipped, comfortable and very nice and warm during a chilly week in early April. Outside there are lots of different sheltered and shady seating areas and the garden is fantastic for easter egg hunts! Surrounded by quiet roads and flat rolling...

"This is a fantastic gite for total relaxation. It’s spacious, clean and well equipped. Our hosts, Sarah and Steve, were so welcoming, and nearby if needed. Our favourite part was the pool. It’s beautifully maintained and the solar cover very efficient so even on cooler days the water is warm. The view of sunflower fields was the cherry on the cake. Thank you Sarah and Steve!"

"This is such a beautiful home. It is located in a quiet area close to the center of Poitiers. The house is very large, so there was plenty of room for us to spread out. Phillipe is such a wonderful host. He was so incredibly kind and generous with his time. He drove all the way from Paris to meet us. We arrived early, so he had a friend meet us at the house to make sure we were able to get in. We had so much fun getting to know Phillipe. We wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely...
